This little pub dive came highly recommended for having the best wings in town—and honestly, the crowd alone told us we were in the right place. The bar was packed, with not a single seat to spare, so we grabbed a drink, soaked up the atmosphere, and eventually made our exit. I mean… that’s usually the best sign the food is good and the company is even better.
The building itself was old and full of character, the kind of place where the walls feel like they’ve been listening for decades. You could almost sense the stories shared, secrets kept, and laughter that’s echoed through the years.
Maybe next time we’ll get lucky enough to snag a seat—and when we do, we’ll definitely be back for those wings.

Trying to figure out what’s best about the Ale House. The wings. The corned beef or turkey Reubens. Burgers. Ribs when they have them. Actually just about anything they put out to eat is really good but don’t miss the wings. Good beer selection. If there’s live music it’s loud but fun. Service was friendly but a bit spotty on a very busy Tuesday night. If you want upscale elegance, go elsewhere. If want REALLY good wings, beer, sandwiches and maybe music go here.

A fantastic dive we stumbled across. Mostly locals there which added to the experience.
We had a Reuben and a Roast Beef Special sandwich. Both were tasty and large! The draft beer was great with plenty of options.
The stand out was Joe, our bartender. He was welcoming and very helpful. Great guy!

Used to come here for wings over a decade ago. Many times and always loved it. First time back in forever and tried the wings and cheddar burger. Fast service even though the bartender was the waiter and the food came out nice and hot. Burger was juicy, good and cooked as asked. The wings were as good as I remembered though the medium seemed hot to me. Excellent heat, the kind that has flavor so you enjoy it more. Worth the trip if you are thinking of a burger and wings for lunch or dinner.

First time going to the Ale House. A friend of mine works here from time to time and I’ve been meaning to try it out. I they are known for they’re wings and great fish n chips. I have not had either – YET – I had a growler that needed filling and they for sure assisted me it’s my growler. They don’t have growlers there but you can bring your own in. The atmospheric is very intimate and that “homey” feeling. Certainly a place I can’t wait to go back to, to try the food. I will review Ale House again when I eat the food!

This is a local staple in Troy. Nothing fancy about it. Might be the best wings in the Capital District. Absolutely top three. They also have a phenomenal cheeseburger. The menus are not huge but what’s on there is delicious both beer and food. If you’ve never been it’s definitely a place you need to check out for a burger and wings.

This is a dive but man is it good. The wings were just the right amount of crispy and the sauce was exactly what you want from buffalo. I also ordered their Reuben to go so they wouldn’t know I’m a pig. Also fantastic.

Service is great and quick. Food is always nice and hot. Best wings in America! Must try the tequila chipotle wings….unbeatable.
