I was greeted promptly with a smile as soon as I walked in, by Morgan, and was told to seat myself. The restaurant was very clean. Morgan, my server, went over the menu items in detail, explaining the dishes. I ordered the orange chicken, white rice, hot and sour soup and an eggroll. The orange chicken was very good and well seasoned, and a large serving. The chicken was nice size pieces and the sauce was delicious. I really enjoyed the hot and sour soup and also the eggroll. The price was really reasonable for the amount of food you get. Morgan was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I would highly recommend Z&W if you are looking for quality Chinese food at a great price!

I ordered mapo tofu and zhajiang noodles. They came out great. The tofu was perfectly spicy and numbing. I prefer a darker sauce with the noodles, but it was good what they served too.
The fish was surprisingly well stir-fried. Light coating, and tender.
The staff treated us very well and the dessert of red bean sesame bites was homemade and fresh out of the fryer.

My partner and I LOVE Sichuan food and this is some of the best we have tried, better than restaurants in NYC and Chicago. We were passing through Kalamazoo and decided to stop at this small, unassuming, yet cozy and immaculately clean restaurant in a strip mall. And wow, I am so happy we stopped! The huge, steaming, perfectly spiced bowls warmed us from the inside out on that snowy evening. I especially loved the Sichuan spiced chicken dish. It tingled and tantalized the tastebuds in the most delightful way and not a bite was wasted. I wish I could remember our servers name – she was so attentive, helpful, and enthusiastic about the wonderful food on the menu. We will make a point of returning if we are ever in the area and I will dream about the heavenly food until then.

I’ve grown up around bold, authentic flavors and really appreciate cuisine that stays true to its roots. Especially, considering I’m not deeply familiar with every regional style. Z & W’s authentic Sichuan menu absolutely delivers. The flavors are layered, vibrant, and unapologetically real. Nothing feels watered down and it tastes like tradition done right.
I especially want to recognize the manager. Her recommendation skills were outstanding, and she handled everything with impressive poise and professionalism over the phone. Even without being fully familiar with the menu/cuisine, I felt completely confident trusting her guidance, and she nailed it.
Highly recommend letting her lead the way.

Cozy, small dining area. Got takeout, very good service. Food came out hot a fresh but a few key things I noticed was the sweet and sour chicken sauce is a little too sweet. Crab rangoons were pleasant, flaky and crunchy. Those as well were just a tad too sweet. Roast chicken soup was kinda bland, flavors were good just feel like it was missing salt. Also wished there were more veggies in the soup. Overall not a bad spot. Will likely be back to try some other items

Tried for the first time tonight. The only mistake was not trying sooner. This place is several steps above the the rest of the Chinese restaurants in the area, except maybe Chinn Chinn. The food is delicious and expertly prepared. The perfect amount of seasoning, including salt, is used to enhance the natural flavors. They make their own dough used in their egg rolls and wontons that fries to perfection. The portions are generous as well.
My wife ordered sesame chicken and an egg roll. She was very pleased and said it was the best she’s had.
I ordered egg foo young, wonton, and egg drop soup. The egg drop soup was perfect! Never had better. The wontons were crispy and very tasty. The egg foo young was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. I couldn’t be more satisfied.
If you haven’t tried Z&W yet, do yourself a favor and get some ASAP. You’ll be glad you did.

Very delicious Chinese cuisine. This restaurant is tucked away in the Plaza near Wedel Nursery. They opened in the fall of 2023 and we’re thankful they did. This is a great location, and the food is amazing. The crab ragons are huge! Stuffed well and very crunchy – so are the egg rolls. The lunch entrees are very large and delicious. We’ll definitely be returning here soon.

Our server in the colorful apron (so sorry I forgot her name!) was inviting, quick, funny and genuinely kind! Easily the best service I’ve had in a while, she deserves a shout out.
