It was my second time going to this place and the food was great. The service is also good, but my friend that invited me and introduced me to this place didn’t get the order completely right. She asked them to not add any mushrooms to the dish that she requested but when she got her food, the mushrooms were still there. I told her to asked them to redo it or at least to let them know because if it was an allergic thing (it wasn’t but still) they needed to get it right. We still had a great time, and I still recommend this place. Great food.

“I recently had the pleasure of trying the Tinga de pollo tostadas at El Epazote Cocina Regional restaurant in Madera CA, and I was blown away by the flavors and authenticity. The chicken was tender, the smoky chipotle flavor was perfect, and the crispy tortillas added a delightful crunch. The service was also top-notch. Highly recommend!”

I really enjoyed my experience there yesterday. The staff was really pleasant and the food was amazing. Location is limited on seating but very clean, ambiance was nice. On the higher end price wise but worth every penny. Given chips and salsa, every salsa and chili served was so tasty! And I cannot even begin to explain how obsessed I am with their fresh tortillas and Sopas. Vegetarian friendly for my partner. Definitely a new favorite restaurant in Madera. ♡

I came across this restaurant while passing through on a road trip. The mole negro was excellent, and the cafe de olla was super tasty. The service was very welcoming. All around great vibes and yummy food; I hope to visit again!

We got guac with chips, and fish and shrimp tacos. Fish tasted fishy, and the batter was bland. The guac was glum, and kinda tasted like sand. The whole place had a weird smell, of what i couldn’t tell. Prolly won’t be coming back, won’t recommend to others as well.

The food tastes okay dont get me wrong. But if you wanna pay $20 for 2 chunks of meat in broth and literally nothing else dont come here. Waited 25 minutes for food I had to wait another hour just so it could cool off enough in a plastic container just to get literally nothing. I took the meat out and made it into a quesadilla at my house so I could feel some type of full. It was all fat too, hardly any meat at all. You could spend half as much at literally anywhere else and get better stuff, dont waste your time here. Its weird that every place that opens up there closes down soon after, but they cant seem to get anything right. Hopefully they open up a better, less expensive place soon. Having to cut and add my own limes was the last straw for me.

Great food. The pureed black beans were delicious. A real surprise. A flavor I have never experienced before – perhaps it was the epazote. They had a variety of fresh sauces which were also first class – as good as any salsa I’ve had anywhere else before. The horchata was also homemade and delicious. Everything here was homemade. Friendly service. Highly recommend!

Amazing Hispanic cuisine. I just asked what is the best thing on the menu. Completely surprised by the dish. Chicken drumsticks in a dark spicy marinade with a white rice and vegetables accompanied by handmade corn tortillas. So much flavor with the right amount of spice… excellent dish. Highly recommend
