The food was delicious with the signature hot foie gras to start (we shared) then we both had the 200 day ages Australian Ribeye which was cooked perfectly with us and a side of roasted pumpkin that again was so yummy cooked with rosemary.
The night was topped off by our lovely server Angga who was very attentive and chatty ☺️ thanks again for a great meal
The highlight was the Australian Lamb on couscous – which was very good – and the French Onion Soup and the Soufflé (while not swoon-worthy) were also very nice.
But the bone-marrow was very disappointing.
Very under-seasoned and bland – and stuck to the roof of our mouths.
The anchovies were another disappointment – very dull and uninspired. Some olive oil and seasoning (or something to elevate it) would have certainly helped the flavour profile.
The lentil salad – again really bland and really lacking. Under-seasoned (or under-dressed) – really had nothing going for it.
The complimentary amuse bouche was really truly awful. It’s hard to fathom what the chef was thinking and whether he/she even tried it. Unpleasantly strong fishy taste – pretty much inedible. How can a restaurant at this level get it so wrong?
The complimentary bread rolls were lovely – crispy and piping hot and served with butter.
The cocktails were great too – it’s just a shame they couldn’t match that with consistency across the food offerings.
Also on several occasions it was really hard to get the attention of a staff member – though Ungar was an absolute delight and very attentive when we interacted with him.
The music was inoffensive – but a missed opportunity in terms of curating a French playlist that would have added significantly to the ambience of the experience. Why not play French music in a French restaurant – is this not a no-brainer?
Finally – please please please do the classy thing, and provide complimentary drinking water.
It makes no sense that you’d provide complimentary ice (ie frozen water) but not water. It costs your restaurant soooo very little, but really it’s so the small classy acts like this that help define a positive experience.
Visited Leon for a family vacation dinner after a long tour day, and it definitely made our day! Lovely atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, amazing food. Oh and the mocktail was one of the best I had this year!!

Mocktails
The foie gras and spinach side dish were delicious.
Beef spaghetti is absolutely not recommended.
Also, they have parking space for car behind, just 10meters away from the restaurant.
The highlight is of course the Bar. The Cocktail Master is an absolut legend. Creating cocktails just by your preferences and also the classics are absolut amazing.
The price is also pretty good for what you get and we will of course come back again wehen visiting Bali!
