Must try! I’ve only gotten the calzone (for now) but this calzone is HUGE and TASTY pretty promising spot however inside dining very tiny I see many people buy stuff for carry out and would reconmend it that way.

A couple of my people and I decided to try this place out for calzones considering their ratings. The place is a whole in the wall and they had a decent amount of traffic. I ordered 3 calzones and the total came out to 44 and change, we waited for about 40 minutes and our food finally came out, we ate outside and when I pulled out the calzones and the size was impressively big but they were just wrapped in like a sandwich wrap. Pulling them out we broke them open and oh my goodness it dripped in oil, I poured it out to make it somehow enjoyable, I had the vegetarian, my buddy had the ground beef and cheese, my other had the special and we all had the same issue but theirs not as bad I’m assuming because the beef soaked up the oil. Overall it was a disappointing order for what I paid, I’m sure their other stuff is good (I hope) and the staff was kind. The review was solely on the calzone. Won’t be ever ordering that again here!

Mama Mia’s is that little holeinthewall place that serves the comfort food one has a craving for, sure it’s like most little places, it’s a bit informal in appearance, located in a strip mall that has seen better days, but this family owned business consistently turns out quality.
They have done well enough to open another location in the Tower District which is testament enough to prove my point about consistent quality comfort food.

Cannot say enough good things about this business. They know how to take care of their customers. Have been stopping by for a the best thin New York style pizza for several years. Never disappointed, pizza is always hot and flavorful. The cheese and crust is always the right texture and on point. Owner always made time to conversate as well. Even though I didn’t wait long, they gave me some delicious bread with an amazing dipping sauce. I have ordered a full pizza here before and can say I rather have their slices. It’s still good but just different in texture and bite.
One gripe is that the slices usually comes out super hot and I would suggest to the owner that it be served on paper plate instead of styrofoam. It is so hot, you can see melted styrofoam. I’m not a Toxicologist, but who knows what sort chemical is coming from that. Didn’t stop from eating it still, lol. So good, I would definitely recommend to everyone!

Ordered the garlic cheese bread and it was over spiced with red crushed red peppers that was on the inside. It was so much my stomach is still upset and we had this on Saturday night. It’s now Monday and I’m considering going to urgent care. I took a pic of all the red pepper flakes I scrapped from the inside of half a bread stick but wasn’t allowed to post a picture.

The combo pizza was good, it has a good mix of flavors. The only thing I did not like was the crust. It was a bit too dry and hard to chew but everything else was good.

I’ve been going here for years and it just seems like the last couple of times that I ordered the quality was seriously lacking. I ordered the half-and-half tonight and I was so disappointed with the lack of sauce to noodle ratio and the sauce just did not have any flavor. Honestly it’s just not worth the money anymore sad because this used to be one of my favorites.

The Food is the Best but I received a very small portion. $30 for a plate of Tortellini is a bit steep for Take out so I’d expect a little more food than what I got. The lady at the front counter was rude over the phone but in person not bad just a little unkept. No lie the food is superior than other Italian foods in Fresno.
