Great experience!
My father and I both ordered the Corned Beef & Cabbage plate ($19 each, plus $2 extra for Irish soda bread), while my mother had the Fish & Chips ($18). While the service was friendly, the food quality was severely lacking. The corned beef, especially, was a major letdown—dry and tough, with a texture more like leather than the tender, flavorful corned beef one would expect from an Irish restaurant, especially on St. Patrick’s Weekend. It was truly the worst I’ve ever had at a restaurant, and coming from a place that advertises itself as serving authentic Irish food, I found that particularly disappointing. The Irish soda bread was hard as a rock and served ice cold, further diminishing the experience. The Fish & Chips were slightly better, but the batter was soggy and lacked the crispness that would have made it enjoyable.
To top it off, they were playing Irish music, but instead of the lively, celebratory tunes you’d expect for St. Patrick’s Day, it was the depressing, dour kind that really brought down the mood. It was a major bummer and added to the overall sense of disappointment.
Additionally, at $10 per pint, the Guinness pricing seemed steep for the area. Given the overall experience, we won’t be returning and would encourage others to explore alternative dining options.
