Reviews
I ordered fried shrimp, fried tofu, fish fritters, Pad Prik Prow (veggie) with tofu, and a side of jasmine rice.
The positives:
The jasmine rice was fresh, fluffy, and absolutely delicious — simple, but perfectly done. The fried shrimp were excellent — crispy, well-seasoned, and clearly freshly prepared. The Pad Prik Prow had great flavor. The sauce was rich and well-balanced, with a nice depth that made the dish very enjoyable overall.
The veggie soup came spilled thank goodness the restaurant put it in a plastic bag so it did not ruin the rest of the meal. The flavor was pretty good! Just plastic was not properly shut.
The areas for improvement:
Unfortunately, the fried tofu was not edible. The coating was extremely soggy and mushy, and the texture was completely off. Tofu should have that light crisp exterior with a soft interior, but this missed the mark. The tofu in the stir fry was also on the soggy side. It seems like tofu preparation may be an area that needs some attention, because texture really makes or breaks tofu dishes.
The same holds true for the fish fritters… a bit on the salty side and unfortunately mushy. Take out boxes should allow ventilation and that would help with texture problems.
Overall, there were definitely some highlights — especially the shrimp and rice — but I hope the restaurant revisits how they’re preparing tofu dishes. With some improvement there, this could easily be a standout spot.
The first time we went here, we’re already full hence we weren’t able to eat properly and we cannot really comment about the food. Today, our experience was delightful. We were the first and only costumers so we had the chance to savor our every bite and really took our time.
