I used to live down the street from this place a long time ago and have always gone back from time to time. It had been a few years since I’d been there and to my surprise this time around they had recently gone through a remodel.
The place has changed a lot. I really liked all the booths they had before and now is an Open dining area. The bar does looks a lot better now that the moved it to the window side, but yhe most important thing is that the food and portions haven’t changed. They’re still delicious! I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed! I would give it more stars if I could. 🙂

Rodrigos is now remodeled their restaurant and it looks beautiful! Their food standard is always as good as it is.

1. Virgin blue agave margarita
2. Botana platter – nachos, cheese quesadilla, taquitos, wings, potato skins, guacamole, sour cream, jalapeños
3. Ultimate fajitas – trio of shrimp, chicken and steak
4. Fish tacos
5. Churros
6. Deep fried ice cream

They have recently renovated the restaurant. Completely upgraded. Food is better than before. Chips and salsa are good. Margaritas I had were great and strong. This is significant because so may restaurants make mixed drinks with undetectable ( by my unscientific taste buds) alcohol content.

The good: very accomodating to our large group. Nice staff. Remodel is really nice. It looks beautiful and so clean. The chips came out fast and often.
The bad: food was so terribly dissapointing 🙁 I ordered cerviche and it was one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten out. The shrimp was good but the white fish was cooked and tasted like canned tuna and was SO dry. Everyone gagged that tried it. My sister’s fajitas were so tasteless that she covered her plate with salt for flavor. My husband’s food came out cold. No one at the table liked their food except for the two teenage boys with us who will eat anything. For the price you pay these days to eat out, we should at least have it taste better (or at least the same) as something prepared at home.
Also, maybe it was just where we were sitting, but the music was really loud and we couldn’t hear over it. I hate when restaurants do that. We come together to enjoy each other’s company but we couldn’t hear the people directly across from us.
I suggest they rennovate the menu next because YUCK!

Our family has been a regular customer since 1980 starting at their Fullerton location. Always had very good food and service.
The new remodel as nice as it is however has lost the relaxed family feeling it had.
Due to the change (much noisier) and increase in prices I’m afraid Rodrigo’s will become a “celebration destination” rather than a regular restaurant that we’ve enjoyed as before.
I’m sure the required minimum wages they have to pay has contributed to the higher prices.
Hoping the best for Rodrigo’s.

I was in this afternoon with my family there was the 4 of us . My sister-in-law today is her birthday. She’s 51 years old she’s special-needs and disabled. She chose to go to the Anaheim location versus the one in Orange or Tustin. I heard you guys had a fire. I was sad because I really liked that one. I’m really happy. It’s back open and it looks beautiful inside and out and the waiter was awesome. The gentleman that was busting the table he was awesome. Everybody was super nice we were there around 2 I have to tell you the food was delicious. The chips were fresh not stale or anything. I didn’t even have to ask for refills on our drinks. They just came around and offered us more drinks and more chips. There were four of us sitting at the table. We will be back soon

Ashley was an amazing server! Very patient with our very large group. Kept her smile through the entire meal. I absolutely love the new remodel! Very light and the windows really added to the ambiance! The new bar set up is gorgeous! Highly recommend you check it out!

I come here all the time. I absolutely love this place! The chimichagitas at happy hour are amazing and I be sure to pair it with either a Pina colada or one of their many amazing and original margaritas .. I also ordered one of their awesome specialities this time, so good!

The restaurant looks beautiful. They designed it very well and the indoor/outdoor bar is so cool. We’ve been to this location twice and both times service was great. The food was lacking both times. This time we had a carne asada plate, and the combo plate with enchiladas and shredded beef tacos. The rice was the main reason for the low review. It didn’t taste authentic and didn’t look good at all. I was hoping the rice was going to be better but unfortunately it wasn’t. Also, the guacamole tasted too tangy, sour basically. It wasn’t that good too.
The service was excellent which made up for the food; however, I don’t think we will be coming back. Also, one thing to note, this is their first month back so maybe with time the cooks will get acclimated to the recipes. Anywho, great service and location! Food needs some improvement.

My family used Rodrigo’s to cater food for my son’s birthday party dinner. The order was placed the day before the party giving them plenty of notice. Prior to picking up the food in the afternoon my wife called to make sure everything was on schedule and was told everything was fine. When my wife and I went to pick up the food, we were told they did not have any orders under our name. My wife pointed out an order sitting on the table she suspected to be ours but was repeatedly told that it was not ours. 30 minutes later, the staff realized they mistakenly put the wrong name on the order we had suspected to be ours in the first place. We took the food and ended up being 45 minutes late to a party we were hosting, and the food was extremely cold. I called into the restaurant that night and my information was taken down however the district manager never called me. I will never use them again.
