Our waiter was great! Cute restaurant. The menu was very small but the food and drinks were good. The waiter said everything is made in house. Wish the burrito came with beans or something on the side rather than just the burrito. Chips and salsa are not included but you get a good variety with the option for purchase. Went around 6:00pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately.

Got some lunch here that was pretty solid. The food itself was delicious. I got the burrito which was very filling. One of my friends got the shrimp tacos which actually had huge portions on them and looked really good. The atmosphere was fun. Very clean and and good amount of tables. Only downside was the price. Just a little too expensive for what it was in my mind. Not too bad though.

Great place for a modern Mexican meal. We had a combination of dishes from Pollo Monterrey and Flautas to firecracker shrimp and Chicharrones. As we enjoyed our drinks the chef came out with a complimentary hors d’oeuvre that he was looking for our input on…It was great!!! Service and atmosphere are excellent.

the Tacos were good I got Al pastor and shrimp tacos great flavor not a fan of the nuts though.
The meal was pricey my margarita was $11 ! 4 tacos were $20 . I’m used to paying $12-$15 for four tacos. i just feel their are cheaper places for tacos that are more authentic and better quality. Loved the seating and overall set up disappointed in the sauces with the tacos no spicy flavor and didn’t taste homemade.
My server was rough I had to wait maybe 10 mins for my receipt my margarita took 10 mins to make and I asked for a lime just for flavor never got it and he mentioned it twice lol but I understand these things happen. It wasn’t that busy I just think maybe between the bar and serving it was a lot.
Overall not a place I recommend but I’m glad I made it out to this place. even though they close at nine I came here at 8:30 once in the kitchen was already closed so plan accordingly.

From the time you walk in, you immediately feel welcomed by the attentive staff. The menu is fantastic and authentic. The specials are amazing, from octopus to ribeye, Chef Robert works his magic and the flavor pallete is mouthwatering. Happy eating!!!

The food as well as the drinks are well-made-it was quite obvious they care was put into the preparation. The space was absolutely beautiful; it was inviting and very clean. The cleanliness was comparable to a restaurant that was opened within the past month. Our bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a visit. Delicious!

What a refreshing take on tacos on Madison. Finally a ‘fancy taco’ restaurant with a manageable menu, dedicated staff and reasonable prices. More menu items than tacos too, as seen in the photos. We will all return. Also, fantastic tequila selection. Very comfortable space, clean, attentive staff.

Zapata Cantina, newly opened, was great. Staff very courteous and attentive. Spacious and clean inside. I ordered the pastor taco and ceviche. The pork was tender and flavorful with house made tortilla. The ceviche was awesome. It was flavorful, fresh, crisp and light. However, it will fill you up. They use flounder and cobia. Just the right amount of citrus, spiciness and I cannot wait to order it again!

Great tacos and sopes, tons of tequila. All 3 flavors of salsa were delicious. We’ll definitely be back! John the bartender was awesome!
