I came here to eat with some family on August 15! All the food here is extremely delicious! For appetizers we got the biscuits! For our main dishes we got the chopped wedge salad, baked Mac and Cheese, BBQ Brisket sandwich, Fried Chicken Sandwich! For dessert we got Blueberry Peach Cobbler, and the double chocolate brown butter brownie sundae. This is one of my favorites bbq spots in Connecticut! I highly recommend that you come to Warlus Alley to eat you wont be disappointed! I’m definitely coming back here to eat!

I’ve been to Walrus Alley dozens of times and am always happy I go. Great beer selection. Amazing food. Love the chicken and waffles and deviled eggs. Also the salads are so good!! And the biscuits! Oh and the Brussels sprouts. Love this place. The vintage movie posters on the wall are a bonus.

This is the kind of place you find and want to go back right after you leave. The staff, food, and overall experience is hands down amazing. The vibe the min you walk in is just perfect. They really have something for the whole family and I know you will enjoy it as much as I have. Can’t wait to be back there soon.

The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are very friendly. We had the jambalaya, schnitzel, and mac n cheese. All of which we recommend! Jambalaya reminded me of my many days eating my aunt’s jambalaya down in Louisiana.

I was so hungry I didn’t take pictures of the food but the Mac and Cheese was to die for, the sauce for the beef brisket was so perfectly matched. It really was amazing southern comfort food that was worth the stop after so much traffic through CT. The music was a bit loud but such a treat.

If you are looking for food that will leave you full and satisfied, this is the place to be! They have tasty Southern cuisine dishes, their Southern fried chicken and beef chili were some of the best we’ve ever had. They also have an extensive beer selection, which as a Belgian, I really appreciated. The services was a bit slow (it took 45 minutes to get our appertizers), but it’s a cozy place to enjoy your drink and talk!

I was a loyal customer of Walrus Carpenter in Black Rock, and was sad to see it go. Finally made my way to their Westport location, on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
They have a great outdoor patio that on this day had live music. We decided for on an indoor table, because music was a tad loud for us. Got seated right away, and each table is separated by a plastic partition, mounted to the floor.
The menu has a lot of the same things I loved about Walrus in Black Rock! The Maple Pork Belly is one of my favorite things to eat, ever. Corn bread with honey butter should be illegal, it’s so good. I love their smoked wings, and I went with the chipotle honey finish. My daughter enjoyed chicken fingers with crispy fries. And my friend had a delicious looking and super filling Thanksgiving sandwich. Can’t wait to be back again!
