P.S I don’t know the people there so it’s an honest review, I live in Texas and came to visit and it’s a good place to stop by.
The food was mid for the price we paid for it all.
The staff were friendly. The atmosphere is chill and it was clean. I think this place has potential but when you walk in it’s clear it’s fast-food style breakfast place that offers seating.
I wouldn’t recommend it if you want a cozy or traditional sit down breakfast like eggs-up grill. We likely won’t return just because it’s not the dining/food experience we want for a sit down breakfast. It’s definitely better as a grab and go or get something on the way to work.
They could massively improve the efficiency of their meal packaging. No need to tape each one (stapler would be much faster). For non-delivery service pick ups, you could probably just hand the meal in the bag without taping it or stapling it. It’s also redundant to write and sharpie the order of the customer’s name on the bag when that’s already on the receipt that’s attached to the bags. This was an added 20-30 seconds for every single order.
Otherwise super friendly chick fil a quality service
After waiting 30–35 minutes, I started noticing that several customers who arrived well before me were still waiting too. That’s when I knew something was off. When I finally asked where my order stood, the response was vague—“It’ll be a few minutes”and when my food did arrive, it was incorrect. Instead of the grit bowl with a side of chicken, the chicken was chopped up and mixed into the bowl. That’s not how the dish is described or pictured on the menu.
I returned the meal and asked to speak to a manager. To her credit, the manager was apologetic, issued a refund, and personally remade the order correctly. She was calm, courteous, and clearly knew what needed to be done but I couldn’t help but notice the bigger issue: she was the only one really working. There were at least nine people in the kitchen, yet the manager appeared to be cooking nearly every order herself, with minimal help. Several staff members were standing around, and the kitchen had the energy of a team lacking leadership or training, not motivation.
While I appreciate the professionalism of the manager and the quality of the corrected food, the overall experience was frustrating. It should not take 30+ minutes to serve grits and chicken especially when those are central to the menu.
This cafe still has a lot of promise, but management needs to delegate more effectively and ensure the team is properly trained and actively engaged during service. I’d be open to giving it another shot in the future, hoping this was just an off day.
