Food was amazing and service was top notch! Give this place a try!

I was there on a Sunday night during the off-season at about 5:30pm with a party of 4.

Plenty of parking is available. The place was definitely busy, but we were seated right away. Service was great! Our server was fast and very friendly. We were always checked on and and our surfer made sure our drinks were never empty. The food came out quickly without a long wait.

I had the surf and turf burrito. Very tasty! Others at my table had the hibachi special. The hibachi special is available on Sunday night and you can get it with chicken, steak or shrimp (or a combination of multiple of these ).

The restaurant serves an extensive menu of Mexican food.. tacos, burritos, etc. There’s also a sushi menu, including primarily sushi rolls.

There’s also a bar that was very busy. The atmosphere was a bit loud, but not loud enough that you couldn’t talk.

On average, we were about $25 to $30 per person, including the main entree, soft drink and an appetizer we shared at the whole table. We did not order any alcoholic beverages.

It wasn’t open yet, but they are working on an outdoor eating area and place where live music can be enjoyed outside.

Get the pork belly tacos! Our families favorite! We really enjoyed this on our trip to Edisto. This is completely different from all the other restaurants on the island. Flavor was amazing and our server was really great. Everything we got was good, the cowboy roll is great if you like eel sauce. Carne asada tacos were good, plus a margarita was solid. The wings were really extremely crispy. I had them plain but I could see how they would be incredible sauced.

Bluefin Cantina is a true Edisto gem! It’s one of those spots where the atmosphere is every bit as good as the food. As a local, I love the laid-back vibe and the consistently great service. Whether you’re a long-time resident or just visiting, this is a must-stop for a fresh, delicious meal on the island!

For still a newer place, the experience was good, we were seated quick and the service was friendly and efficient. We love the decor inside, it’s very bright, fun, and welcoming! The food was good, my in laws really liked the chips and queso, tacos, and burrito. Unfortunately I can’t give 5 stars at this time because my husband’s order was wrong (ordered tacos with no onions, they came packed with raw onions instead), i ordered 2 sushi rolls and while the ingredients were fresh in the rolls, they were very lacking/small for the price of each (for reference you can get any comparable roll in Charleston with twice the size/amount of ingredients for the same price) and unfortunately all of the sushi rice on both of my rolls was undercooked and still crunchy. Hoping with feedback this place can continue to improve and we will certainly try again as it is a very welcomed place in the area.
Also please watch the front door exterior handle with the sun it beating on it, it will burn your hand.

Had heard good things and was not disappointed. They were very busy, making for an energetic vibe, but the service was prompt and pleasant. The food came out quickly and was so good! Prices are reasonable for the post inflation reset we’re all still adjusting to. We’ll be back.

Dined here last week just a few days after they opened. It was very busy. The two of us sat at the “community table” right away. We had a couple drinks, guacamole, three (3) different sushi rolls, and the shrimp tacos. Enjoyed great company and great food. In my opinion, they were doing pretty well with only being open for a few days! (Only future suggestion I would have is some sound absorbing and sound system, but in time I’m sure it is in the plan!) Look forward to visiting again. Great addition to the island.

We truly enjoyed going twice on our beach vacation! Bright colors, friendly team, and yummy food – it was wonderful from start to finish. They were 3 days in the first time we went and it didn’t show. We all ordered their house margaritas which were very good. I ordered the Carne Asada which was awesome! The California burrito, chicken burrito, and veggie sushi roll were ordered by everyone else in our party and they loved it. It was a short wait for drinks and food, but that’s to be expected in their first week. Zero complaints and love the new food options for a beach trip to Edisto. Highly recommend!

Bluefin Cantina is now one of our favorite Edisto restaurants. We got the Seared Sashimi, Edisto Roll, Bluefin Roll, and the Churros for dessert. Service was very friendly, food was excellent (quality of raw fish was SO GOOD), restaurant smelled good, portions were big, they had a good selection of wine options, mai tai was huge (came in a bucket), parking was easy, no wait for us even though it was packed inside. The only “con” is that there were no knives in silverware wraps. Redeemer: no knife needed since fish was so tender. Absolutely recommend for someone looking for something different than the usual fried / baked seafood island options. Will be back!

I love the food and the people. They have fresh sushi and a Mexican style menu. The fish tacos were to die for – especially the Mahi! My husband had the stuff and turf sushi and said it was amazing. The portions were plenty big and we were very happy. We also had the shrimp artichoke dip, which was smooth, creamy, and surprisingly delicious.
The only reason I took off one star for atmosphere is because I was very claustrophobic inside. Others weren’t bothered by it at all, but I’m just an anxious person. The chairs touched backs when we were at our table with people behind us.

Bluefin Cantina is a fabulous restaurant I highly recommend! The food is wonderful, and the service is efficient and friendly! Every detail is well thought out and excuted. Camille Fontaine is an incredibly talented artist who painted in Hawaii for 30 years and has returned to her home of Edisto Beach. Pick your favorite painting or two to purchase. All of her paintings are for sale, with the exception of the Blue Fin Tuna!!!
