This was a great place! I’m glad we stopped in. Definitely a cozy sports bar vibe, with restaurant seating in the back. Kids meals available, with really good quantity. Great quantity with our fried pickles too. We had very hungry kids after sightseeing. They even changed a t.v. for us to watch a paticular basketball game. Lots of TVs and sports to watch. Very friendly waitress, good service and accommodating. I highly recommend if your looking for a chill place to stop by and grab some quick food!

Local here. I like coming here for pick up wings which are generally good. I tolerate th connected wings fo the taste. But after our last visit we’re done. The cocktail had soda which was flat. The cheesesteak was burnt black inside and the fries had no salt. Just frozen fries straight out the fryer. On top of that the waiter was as cold as could be when we could get his attention. If we’re gonna spend 70$-80$ on dinner and a beer for two I’m not trying to roll the dice. This place needs some serious work in the kitchen.

Was on the island and was meeting a buddy for wings and a cold beer. Had driven by Candlelight South many times, but never stopped for their famous wings. Met my buddy there and it took about 10 minutes before we had a server come over and take our drink order then about another 10 minutes before we received our local craft beer. Our wings and waffle fries came out about 15 minutes later. I got the Candlelight Dry Rub wings with ranch and blue cheese and my friend got the sweet datil. Nice size wings with celery on the side. Crunchy and cooked perfectly! Definitely a must do if you live here (as I do) or just a visitor to Saint Augustine!! Florida Man Approved!

I’ve been going to Candlelight in Hartsdale, NY for over 20 years and was excited to try the St. Augustine location — but this was a total letdown. Service was painfully slow, and every waitress seemed more focused on their phones than the customers. Our party of six only received one order of wings and one fries for the entire table, and that was after a long wait. The food that did come out tasted fine, but the overall experience was disappointing. Definitely not the same Candlelight I’ve loved for years.

Dang..Chicken sandwich was fully pink and raw and burger was equally raw. I had high hopes for this dive bar (I love dive bars) after seeing decently large crowds coming out the door the night before, but I just ordered take out and it was not something I would recommend. I will say the wings were great which thank god they were because the rest was inedible, but my pregnant wife was very much craving the blackened chicken sandwich and it was absolutely 100% raw it really did look like they rubbed it in seasoning and put it on the bun without cooking! Shocked I then decided I’d better cut my burger in half to take a look before digging in and it was equally 100% raw (I ordered medium rare)

Great spot over The Bridge of Lions. My husband and I liked it so much we went twice. First night Jaya took great care of us. Sat at the bar and ordered food. Philly cheese steak quesadillas were yummy. Definitely recommend the Saint Augustine Cobb salad. Cajun rubbed wings were also good. Second night, Tara took great care of us. Smashburger was yummy. Definitely a great place to check out. Plenty of TVs for watching sports. Good vibe and friendly people.

The waitress was SO rude AND RACIST. She gave glasses to everyone but my mother and me. No straws. no forks, we had to ask for everything. We even sat at a completely empty table and she asked us to move because that table was already “occupied” and there was no one there the whole time we were there. We even had to ask for our own check after wait A WHILE. Idk but she was so so rude… and I don’t think it’s just my “imagination”, because to my boyfriend (he’s from Ohio) she was SO nice. And a piece of… with me and my mom. Soooo, good thing I have Jesus in my heart and tipped her. horrible experience.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner before heading out to view the “Nights of Lights”. The food was excellent as always. They have the best Caesar salad around. A special shout out to our server Madie and the bartender Andrew. They were a joy to behold. They were attentive, engaging, offered “opportunities” and couldn’t have been nicer. We are referring to them as the Dynamic Duo”. We are looking forward to our next visit already. Highly recommend to any and all
