I’m willing to try them again as the food and coffee were good but the girl with the nose ring taking orders was seriously miserable. She needs to be away from customers not the face of the place, she really ruined the vibe with her rude attitude and mumbling. Had to go back to order drinks because she never asked if we wanted any or offered any water.

She was seriously horrible at taking orders for a place that opened days ago where people don’t know the menu yet. It also seems they need to order at least 5 more high chairs as most people had little ones and had to sit them in the booths and wait for one to open up.

I was so excited to try this new restaurant. I was given a gift card for $25. It was great because it’s right across the street from where I live. I could go through the drive-through easy Peezy. Well, I was ordering food to use up my gift card, but I really wanted to try the fries because I love french fries. When I got home and opened my bag all the food was there except the french fries. I called and let them know and they said no problem. They told me to swing by. They gave me another gift card with a credit for the amount of the fries. I went by there today excited to finally try the FF. What could’ve been so simple turned out to be such an ordeal that I do not want to even go back first. They told me that I owed $.30 which was fine, but I told the girl that it was supposed to be an even swap and explained to her that they did not include fries in my last order. Then, she tried to tell me that it would be close to five dollars. At this point, I was totally confused and explained again the situation take the card with the money on it and give me my french fries. Finally, someone came to the window (manager)stared at my receipt for a long time. I explained to her again what had happened while she was staring at my receipt and gift card looking very confused. Eventually, she looks at me and says that the card was only good for a week and they could not honor it. Incredulously, I looked at her and said, are you kidding? I explained, again, what had happened and that if it was only good for a week, which is really dumb,that someone should have informed me of that at the time.
The issue was obviously not with paying for an order of french fries but the fact that nobody had any idea what to do or understand what was happening. Finally, the manager slammed the window, came back, opened the window, and thrust her arm out and plopped the bag in my hand, and then slammed the drive-through window. Don’t think I want to go back for that type of experience.

We really enjoy it here! Hot chocolate donut and apple fritter are very good. The hash browns are good too!

After eating at (and LOVING!) all of the other restaurants at Valley Post, we had high expectations for Hero Diner. We ordered the folded egg & cheese with sausage, the super minis, two orders of hashbrowns, the bread pudding donut & sidekicks to go.
We didn’t receive one order of the hashbrowns, and didn’t get any honey with the super minis. The food overall was very under seasoned and a bit overcooked. We may give them one more shot, but with 3 great restaurants right next door, it’s hard to find a reason to spend our money at Hero Diner.

Had the breakfast sandwich with Sausage and the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Will be ordering on line and picking up on my way the office in the morning. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Left with a dozen doughnuts for the office!
