Interesting local place in the middle of a residential area. They had live music and it was good. I’m not sure how to describe this place… Dive bar meets diner meets gastropub? It’s not really any of those three, but a weird hybrid. The food was decent but nothing amazing. They claim to have won prizes for their pub fries but they were just…fries. They did have some decent dipping sauce I guess. Maybe I’ve had too many potatoes lately. The ribs were ok. The Reuben was above average and the burgers are good. The staff and facility were great, no issues. I’d go back.

Leaving the initial review but modifying after going here for a second time on 5/11/24. This visit was again excellent, so I’m chalking the bag experience up to a one off. My friend and I brought our two girls here as part of our mommy/daughter mother’s Day weekend. We got the wings again, which seemed different but were still excellent. The cherry cola BBQ sauce was delicious. My friend had the brisket burger which she said was excellent. I had a pulled pork and pineapple quesadilla with jalapeno that was fantastic. It’s had just the right mix of sweet and spicy. The girls had grilled cheese and Mac and cheese and enjoyed it. Changing my rating from 3 stars to 5.
Very much depends on what you get.. the first time my boyfriend and I went here we were blown away. Absolutely the best Meal of our lives. We had the smoked chicken legs as an appetizer, I had the kobe beef and he had the crabby pizza. Could not have asked for better, absolutely phenomenal. The beef melted in your mouth, the chicken had great flavor and was cooked to perfection and the pizza was great. The next night we went there and ordered the smoked whitefish dip, fried chicken and shrimp and grits. Completely underwhelming and absolute trash. The shrimp still had tails, the chicken you really couldn’t tell what part it was and was and it had grizzle, fat, and bones all through and lacked good flavor. I didn’t even finish one piece, it was that bad. Tried another thinking it was a one off…. it wasn’t. Absolutely terrible. I wouldn’t have paid $2. Let alone $80. Again, it very much depends on what you order. I debated between giving this a 2 or 3 star rating, decided to be generous because the first meal was so amazing. Proceed with caution.

This is a busy place and can get loud, so if you are looking for a quiet dinner you might want to eat really early or really late. Food is good, some items could use a little more finesse. The white fish spread is spot on. Definitely try it. The pizza is delicious. The goat cheese and beet ravioli needed some acid and the brown butter pistachios sauce was more of a pool of grease with some raw tasting pistachios. Shrimp and grits was also very greasy.

Excellent place with great service and food. The robot bussers are great and rarely run into anyone… Called and made a reservation and when we showed up the hostess said they don’t take reservations. Before things got to crazy the manager showed up and made things right as they did take our reservation so we did have one. Other than that things were fine and the bison meatloaf is amazing and the drinks top notch.

This place is a bit Tardis. Meaning on the outside the place looks tiny, then you enter and bam the place looks twice as big. The inside is a tale of two worlds a mash up of old fashioned and cabin modern.
I ordered the Root Beer Bbq Baby Back Ribs ($34 – full rack), this is dry rubbed pork ribs, house made root beer bbq, with southern corn succotash with bacon, and sweet potato fries. They were delicious you could actually smell the root beer. I can’t say I tasted it, but what I did taste was addicting. The succotash and fries were both excellent. The person I was with ordered the The Paisley Pig Sandwich ($17), which is a pulled pork, root beer BBQ, chipotle slaw, on a toasted stout beer bun. Served with chips. She thought it was excellent.
The service was very good and super friendly. The food came out super quick.
Overall an easy 5 stars. Would I return? Absolutely. I’ve been to the Grand Haven location and this one might be even better.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. I’ve never had food served so fresh and HOT right from the kitchen. Everything we tried was phenomenal. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Great for date night or dinner with the family. You won’t be disappointed.

The burgers were pre made Pattie’s with a horrible taste to be honest and very sloppy made.! My nephews kiddie burger and my mushroom Swiss burger were the same size burger! The pizza was OK. Nothing really to write home about.

Overall great experience, food was priced a bit high but welcome to 2023 I think we’ll continue to see this trend as years progress! I had the Tuna Poke Bowl and the presentation and portion size was spot on! Chicken Caesar salad was pretty standard, chicken was delicious. My girl ate all the chicken and half the salad!

A great local restaurant with fantastic food! Our foursome was there on a Saturday night in the fall for dinner and had a great time. I recommend going online and reserving your table ahead of time as it can get pretty busy on weekends. It has really cool and cozy atmosphere – feels super homey and inviting. Decent size menu – the entrees are a bit on the pricey side but you get a lot of food – I got the fish and chips and took half home. Hard working and friendly wait staff – our server had been there over 20 years from when it used to be The Parkway restaurant. Highly recommend, especially around Christmas as the surrounding houses are beautifully decorated.

Delicious hidden gem. The trout was perfectly done and ribs were fall off the bone tender. We will return, highly recommend a visit to this gastropub. Heavy hitting favorite!
