I’ve been coming to Don Chon for over a year and I love this place! Really delicious al pastor taco, carne asada, enchiladas verdes, and house-made salsa. In full transparency the ventilation isn’t great, so if you dine in you’ll leave smelling like food. Totally worth it though.

Very underwhelming. I decided to order Mexican food via UberEATS. Maybe that’s where I made a mistake, doing take out. Some food you just cannot do take out and get the experience or the flavor that you were expecting.
I ordered two veggie tacos, two shrimp tacos, three Birria tacos, and rice and beans. Everything was packaged nicely. It came with the condiments and such they usually come with these dishes however the tacos itself had zero flavor or seasoning.
I was waiting for the flavors to bloom in my mouth and it just didn’t happen. I didn’t taste the onions, garlic, cilantro or other seasonings. It just didn’t happen for me. I was disappointed which is rare.
The portion size in these tacos was a bit light as well. They barely had any filling in them. I went through the plate within like 5 minutes honestly. It is a no-go for me.

I stopped in for lunch, ordered 2 Bierra tacos for $6. $3 each and im still starving!! They could have used a little more season the gravy and tacos didn’t have much flavor. I’ll go back to try the sandwich I saw someone else order but won’t do tacos again. The best thing was the sauce that came with cucumbers, it was so good I dipped the radishes and ate those too! Love that it’s walking distance from my job. Small spot but cute, gives you an authentic feel.
