2nd time here. 1st time just stopped in passing through morrison for a cocktail . Drink was good. Bartender was friendly. On our 2nd visit we went for the food. WOW! Small but great selection of eats. It was a hard choice for sure. I went with the pork tenderloin WOWZA was that good . 10 of 10 for sure. My beautiful sidekick had the mushroom Swiss burger with seasoned fries ….AmAZiNg!! Hand patted for sure! Love the fries too…. they are a must try. We are excited for a return visit to try something else of the menu. Place was clean, Bathrooms clean, waitress was amazing …. the decor is a conversation for sure. Love the local history. Thank you double G for making us feel welcome and feeding us…

The Double G Saloon is a welcome establishment to the Morrison area. The inside is gorgeous, but the quality of the food doesn’t quite match. This time I got the Garlic Chicken Mac, fried pickles, and the buffalo wontons. The pickles were my favorite when this place first opened, but they aren’t what they used to be. They seem to consistently come out overcooked and clumped up so you have to pull them apart. The Mac and Cheese is just okay, nothing to write home about. The chicken on the Mac was very well cooked, definitely my favorite part of the meal. My wife got the brisket Mac, save yourself the disappointment with brisket crumbles and get something else instead. I won’t be getting the wontons again either, they were extremely hard and bland.
I’ll give them another shot and try out their chicken entree people seem to go on about, but if that’s as much of a disappointment as the rest of the food I’m probably not going to return for dining services. The bar, however, is top notch.

Deep fried mushrooms are incredible! Service was spectacular. Grilled chicken sandwich was great. Patty melt was top notch. Fries were AWESOME. Fried chicken sandwich was a composite chicken patty. Tasty but manufactured.

Double G is a great Midwest bar in Morrison. If you get a chance to stop in I recommend it. Nice atmosphere, great service. It’s very clean and has a lot of friendly patrons.
