So cute! The employee working there was sooo friendly and helpful as I asked questions about the menu! I wound up getting a pandan doughnut which was the perfect blend of flavor and light sweetness. I can’t wait to go back and try the pandan cake and also their iced coffee along with other items on the menu! Such a nice local spot that’s easy to miss but totally worth checking out!

Definitely will be returning! The ube bun was soft, stretchy and perfectly sweet. The ube donut was also great – very soft dough and a pleasant whipped ube cream filling that was light and airy.

Tucked away and a little tricky to find — but so worth the hunt. The pastries are buttery, flaky perfection that taste like they were made with love (and probably a little magic). Gwenie’s = hidden gem status unlocked.

Perks if you after work because you get 30% off

I stumbled into Gwenie’s and found a gem! I bought the Biko and it was sublime. No pictures because I ate it so fast. The service was so good. The employee who helped me was friendly and explained the pastries. I’ll be back!

Great selection of Filipino desserts, great cakes for birthdays. Went on a Sunday afternoon and there was no line and it moved quickly. The donuts are oozing with cream in different flavors (a tad too sweet for me but still very good). I also had strawberry calamansi drink which was refreshing and very sweet. No seating, everything is to go.

Gwenie’s is so good, honestly get anything/everything and you won’t be disappointed. My favorite though is the ube cheese pan de sal, it is just so so delicious.

After hearing so much about Gwenie’s Pastries, I finally made it over—and I’m glad I did. I was able to try the ube cheesecake, and let me tell you… it lived up to every bit of the hype. Smooth, rich, and not overly sweet, with that perfect ube flavor that balances earthiness and creaminess. The coconut graham crust? A whole moment by itself.

Big shoutout to Lani, who helped me out—welcoming, kind, and clearly passionate about the food and culture behind it. Excellent customer service makes a good visit great, and she definitely added that touch.

Gwenie’s is a Filipino family-owned bakery known for putting love and tradition into everything they make—and you can taste it. From what I saw (and later looked up online), they’ve got everything from ube pies, crinkles, and halo-halo, to Sylvanas, cassava cake, hopía, puto, and classic Filipino bread like pan de coco, mamon, and Spanish bread. It’s a full lineup of Filipino flavors—bold, nostalgic, and made fresh daily.

Whether you’re new to Filipino desserts or grew up with them, Gwenie’s brings a little piece of home or adventure to the table. If you’re in the area, go. If you’ve already been… you probably already know.

And again—thank you, Lani, for making my first visit one to remember.

I love Filipino deserts, but I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with Gwenie’s. When I paid $10 for a Halo-Halo and it was not drinkable I was unhappy. I have never in my life got Ube ice cream and they put corn flakes cereal on the top. The Ube donut was mediocre. They need to fix the prices of their menu if they want customers to return. UNHAPPY!

I have been wanting to try Gwenie’s Pastries for a very long time and I’m so glad I finally made it! The service was wonderful, the staff provided recommendations and info about the different items. I ordered the mango cake and puto rice cakes. The mango cake was good, more spongy than dense which is not my personal style but my family loved it. The puto were delicious, they had a great chewy texture and light and sweet coconut and rice flavor. They were a big hit with my family and we will definetly be returning for more! I will certainly be back to try the famous ube cheesecake and some other confections that looked amazing. 10/10, would recommend!

These might be the best donuts I’ve ever had. Perfectly fluffy filled with airy and delicious creams. Pictured here are the mango, ube and pandan. Each was delightful. Very friendly service too, I look forward to returning!
