Just had the worst customer experience of my life!!
I call China kitchen and this is how the call goes:

Receptionist: yeah
Me: hello?
Receptionist: hold the line a moment
Me: yeah no problem
Receptionist: slams phone down on the side

I proceed to listen to staff arguing background noise and 1.30 has passed and not much noise just typing.

Me: HELLOOOOOO
Receptionist: yeah?
Me: is this China kitchen and are you taking orders?
Receptionist: yes this is and yes we are
Me: okay, that wasn’t a great way to begin a call
Receptionist: oh yeah sorry was on another call, can I take your order
Me: actually no, you’ve been really rude and just lied saying you were on another call but just had the phone clearly sitting on the side as I heard all of the noise etc – I will not be placing an order today or ever.
Ends call.

I am fed up with the constant rudeness from this place and their staff! I have been into the restaurant and had takeout previously and always the same rudeness and lack of professionalism from the people in this place.

Ordered my takeaway over the phone. The woman was very friendly and I could pick up very quickly in 15 mins. Great service while picking it up. Food was amazing! So much meat in the dishes, making it very good value for money. The flavour of the dishes was beautiful, throughly enjoyed by the whole family. Will definitely be using this as my regular

I really enjoy ordering from China Kitchen. The food is always fresh, tasty, and great value. The crispy duck and chow mein are my favourites, and portions are generous. The staff are friendly and efficient, and my takeaway is always ready on time. A dependable spot I’m happy to go back to again.

Thanks for the raw chicken skewers, it’ll be great when I spend all day tomorrow on the toilet.
Rest of the food was just about edible.
They rang me up five minutes after I placed the order, to say it was ready, I should have realised it was going to be garbage then.

Went with friends for dinner on a Monday night. Exceptional service from Wing and her team. Friendly, attentive and a sense that they genuinely care that you have a good experience. Not very busy being a Monday, only 2 other tables in use when we arrived at 7:30.
First thing you notice is the pleasant decor and the massive illuminated tree. Nice neutral colours enhanced by blue mood lighting.
Hot towels were bought out and napkins were placed on our laps for us. Large basket of prawn crackers was waiting on our table.
We ordered the mixed hors d’oeuvres. Spring rolls, crispy “seaweed”, chicken satay and pork ribs. The quality of these was beyond what I’ve had in other establishments. The ribs stood out. They were tender but not so tender that they fell off the bone. That’s just how they are supposed to be. They had a nice crisp outside and were smothered with a delicious sauce, I think it was capital sauce. They were a good size too. Satay were great. Slightly spicy and came with a separate peanut sauce, not dry like some places.
For mains we ordered sweet & sour pork Hong Kong style, roast duck Hong Kong style, chicken noodles (chow mein) and special fried rice.
Everything was good, I mean really good. Flavours were on point. Presentation was beautiful. The special fried rice was delicious and tasted really eggy throughout. The pork was crispy on the outside despite the sauce which was a perfect balance of sweetness and sourness. It was colourful too, including red peppers and pineapple. Chow mein had that smoky “wok breath” taste. The beansprouts still had their crunch and the noodles were just the right texture, slightly firm. The star of the show for me was the duck. Bathed in a smooth sauce with spring onions on a cabbage base, rich with umami flavour, the duck was cooked to perfection, with that amazing crispy skin and tender flesh. I’d go back just for that.
We were asked if we would like ice cream and coffee on the house. We accepted, of course and were presented with plates on which there were 3 different ice creams and an assortment of sweets including some liquorice torpedoes (I don’t like liquorice but they made me smile as I remember having these as a kid), a delicious pear or melon tasting thin string like entity. My ice creams were strawberry, chocolate orange and vanilla.
The coffee was good and served with cream and brown sugar.
We were presented with a chocolate each to finish. You know the kind where the ambassador is really spoiling us?
We thanked Wing for the really lovely experience and we were amazed that we were each given a little gift to take home. She was chatty and smiling but you could tell it was natural and not forced.
I’ve never experienced a restaurant this good before and I’m the wrong side of 50.

No hot towels to wash hands before food, and no hot stands to keep food warm. Even though they were almost empty, with staff standing around, dishes were bought up one at a time. So by time all main dishes were served, the first one was not hot anymore. They ran out of alcohol free beer, after only one bottle. Have used this place so much over the years, but not since moving a year ago. Was so disappointed. Won’t be using it again. Even though the food was good, the service let it down. Goodness knows how bad it would be if they had more than three tables full.

We usually always collect without any issues but tonight thought we’d order for delivery and I don’t think we’ll make the same mistake again. First of all it took 2 and a quarter hours to arrive and then I noticed that a main dish was missing so called to have it sent out which turned up 35 minutes later… A near on 3 hour total wait
