I had a good time at KoKuu today. Me and my friend went after walking a long trail and we were full by the end. Definitely good broth and fresh veggies. I would recommend getting udon noodles instead of the normal ones. My friend tried the shrimp tempura bowl but it wasn’t… amazing. The tofu was also sweet and spongy so I didn’t eat it. The boba is a good pocket-friendly price! The specialty sushi however is on the pricey side. Overall, the music, atmosphere and staff were nice and understanding of our food choices and preferences. Will come back with out of town guests!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review for KoKuu Ramen & Sushi Bar
This was our first visit to KoKuu Ramen & Sushi Bar, and it definitely won’t be our last. My daughter had never tried sushi before, so we wanted to start her off with something approachable. We ordered the Fried Philly Roll, which was excellent — perfectly cooked with just the right amount of tempura batter.
I had the Tricolor Roll, and it was outstanding. The spicy tuna was high quality — smooth and flavorful, not chunky like you sometimes get at other places. The fish was incredibly fresh, and you could tell the sushi chef took real pride in their work. Even the cucumbers were finely julienned and beautifully incorporated into each roll.
We also ordered the KoKuu Buns — one pork and one chicken — both delicious with spicy mayo and homemade BBQ sauce. The pork gyozas were another highlight; they came out in a unique presentation where the dumplings were lightly pan-fried together in a crisp lattice, which made for great flavor and texture (you can see this in the photo we took).
We noticed nearby tables enjoying the chicken katsu and some of the ramen bowls, which looked amazing — we’ll definitely try the ramen next time.
The service was great, the restaurant was busy but well-run, and everything was clean and comfortable. Overall, a fantastic experience and highly recommended!

I’ve been here since the opening month and the quality has never droppd once and the service is always amazing. As soon as you enter the restaurant they all greet you in Japanese I believe. I usually go around noon and it isn’t too crowed then so I got seated quick. I forgot what I ordered this time but I’ve tried every ramen here an it’s all great. I’ve been to Japan and all I can say is the ramen tastes authentic for sure. The take home bags are also very high quality. Will 100% keep coming back, highly recommend!

After our first visit here while running errands in the city, we liked it so much that a few days later we drove 50 minutes one way just to come back for dinner a second time. First time we both got the Tonkotsu and Pork Gyoza with Green Tea. Second time we got Kokuu Red (their spicy version of Tonkotsu) also with Green Tea and Sapporo.
Love the atmosphere, attentiveness of the staff and the food so much. Fist time in awhile I felt the need to leave a review. This is my girlfriend and I favorite spot now when having the crave for sushi and especially ramen. Can’t wait to come back a 3rd time.

This place was recommended to me by my friend and I am so happy she did! This place has the best crab rangoon I’ve ever had in my life. Fluffy, crunchy, savory, sweet. It was delightful. We ate it so fast I couldn’t even get a picture! The chicken/pork buns were incredible. The sauce, the texture. Amazing. The gyoza was nice and fresh, but the dipping sauce was the real treat. That said, I would probably skip those for more crab rangoon or kokuu buns. I would make the 15 minute trip just for those two things alone. Everyone in my group ordered a different type of ramen and everyone was super pleased. I’d personally recommend the Kokuu Black (with black garlic oil). It had a really nice savory, umami flavor. Our group also ordered some flavored sake. The small size is big enough to share between 2-3 people (roughly 2-3 glasses each). We tried the lychee and fuji apple flavors. Both were good, but the fuji apple was my personal favorite. The service was impeccable. We were seated around 7:55pm and all of our drinks and appetizers were out within 10-12 minutes. Main courses were served within 20 min of being seated. Everything was fresh and hot. The waiter was very attentive and had no problem splitting the bill between the three of us at the end of the night. My only critique would be regarding the atmosphere/ambience. I think investing in some slightly larger real wood tables and some comfier seating would really elevate the overall experience. We did sit at a dining table, not in the booths. Maybe the booths are comfier. Definitely feels more like somewhere you stop for a quick bite rather than somewhere you go to slowly savor the experience. The place is on the smaller side. Most of the tables sat a maximum of four people, so I would not recommend for large groups or I would call ahead to see if they can accommodate. They were pretty packed even an hour before close. Overall, I thought it was really reasonably priced. Our group ordered 5 entrées (4 adults, 1 child), 3 appetizers, two small sake, a bubble tea, and two ramunes for about $140 plus tip. It came out to about $35/person. 9/10! Will definitely be back or will be ordering delivery!

KoKuu Ramen features rich, deeply flavored broth, perfectly cooked, springy noodles, and high-quality, flavorful toppings like tender chashu pork and a marinated soft-boiled egg that was excellent. The atmosphere is often cozy, llively, and focused on the food. Service was outstanding.

This was my first time here. I loved the atmosphere and the anime on the walls. The food and sake was really good. We ordered a lot of food so we can try different things. The only issue I had was throughout my time eating and drinking the gnat bug just kept pestering me and flying around my food and face.

The food was good and prices fairly reasonable. The service was a little slow however I only saw one server working the while restaurant and he was doing as good as he could. The ramen broth has a nice layering of flavors. The dumplings were tasty, nice and crispy on the outside.

The food and drinks were good, and the service was friendly and attentive. However, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant could definitely be improved. With a bit more attention to maintaining a clean environment, this place could offer a much better dining experience.

Have been really excited to check out Kokuu and we were not disappointed! Our party of 4 was greeted kindly and sat immediately ( arrived around 730pm on a Wednesday) The server was quick to meet us bringing waters and menus and back quickly with our lychee sake bottle.
I specifically was excited to try their Spicy Creamy Chicken Ramen so besides that grabbed some appetizers and our food was all delivered extremely quickly looking delicious.
The ramen was rich and warm with tender chicken and a flavorful broth and toppings. The pork gyozas served in a fun pinwheel flair had a great accompanying sauce that a had a slight spice to it. The edamame side was larger than expected and was enjoyed by all at the table.
I definitely can’t wait to be back to try some of their katsu and sashimi. The bubble teas ans hot teas also sounded like they would be a treat. Overall great experience and left feeling full!
