We wanted something quick and easy with drinks for the adults and food for the boys after a long baseball game and this place looked like it would be great. We walked in and the staff quickly put some tables together for us. The staff was friendly and quick. Our food didn’t take long at all!
I wanted to order nachos but went with the cash tacos basket instead. I should have done nachos. The food looked really good to me and everyone else loved their food. I just wasn’t a fan of my order. The fish was different temperatures -some pieces were warm and some were a little cold. Maybe it was bc it was on top of the cold avocado pieces but I don’t think it should have been that much of a difference. Next time, I will either go with nachos or a bowl, which I didn’t realize was an option.
Again, everyone else seemed to enjoy their food so maybe I just need to give this place another try.
This place was family friendly and had both outside and indoor seats. There is also merchandise to purchase and just a fun atmosphere.

Taco Mama has become the best part of me week! Me and my friend started going on Tuesdays for half price margaritas about a year and a half ago and we rarely ever miss a week. The staff was so sweet and intentional that we ended up becoming friends with a lot of them that we are always so excited to see on Tuesday nights. The owner was one of the first people who always made sure we we’re taken care of, and that trickles down to the rest of the staff. I will always rave about the Gardendale Taco Mama!!

Our family of 3 ordered Jorge’s Nachos and let me tell you, I eat quite a bit and this meal filled us all up with plenty to spare. The staff was all VERY friendly and personable. If you have a family of 3-4, Jorge’s Nachos are definitely the best bang for your buck. We got the nachos with double protein, and it was plenty.
The Chipotle Ranch was an absolute game changer for the flavor. The meat was moist, fresh, and well seasoned. Every topping that we chose was fresh and perfectly proportioned. They even provided us extra plates so we could share.

This is the best Taco Mama location out of all of them for food quality and service!! This is the only location that ever puts all the ingredients I ask for into my bowl. The bowls are always good at all locations, but this one always has fresh tea, fresh lemons and they always put all the ingredients I ask for in the bowl. I think other locations must think it’s redundant that I get avocado chunks AND guacamole lol, but this location doesn’t question it, they just accommodate!

You’re greeted by a door greeter passing out menus before you make it to the counter to order. The restaurant is self seating and there is plenty of seats both table top, and high top. The menu is is super easy, with pre-made baskets of tacos chips and salsa or a create your own taco side with a plethora of options. The salsa is not that good, the most common ancestry it has to actual salsa is the Tomato in it. The macaroni and cheese, is okay. Tacos are the star of the show!! My son had the original beef, and I had the cheesy beef. Both of them were fixed to the hilt and were delicious! They’re sweet tea was made by somebody southernmost definitely, and is delicious as well. There are no drink sizes in this restaurant is everybody has one size cup with unlimited refills. The staff in this restaurant were eager, and helpful, and just the most Pleasant to be around.

Best lunch experience I’ve had in a few weeks! My co-worker and I were greeted no more than 3 steps in the door with a warm welcome. The young lady who took our order was very pleasant and took care to make sure the order was correct. The food was prepared fresh and portion was more than enough and the toppings on my nachos was proportionate to the chips. I’ve eaten at Taco Mama several times and ordered nachos where I had way more chips than toppings. Oh and the cilantro lime rice was perfect, not too hard and not too gummy. The young man who greeted us coming in was very polite and checked in on us. Food, Great! Service and Timeliness, Great! Had I known the service would have been this good, I would have added a better tip when I paid for my food.

This was my first trip to Taco Mama, and boy, was I in for a treat!! I ordered the nachos with chicken. Toppings are unlimited, fresh, and abundant. These nachos aint for the faint at heart. They’re massive and so delicious!! The staff was excellent and super friendly. I sat outside on the patio it had stormed earlier, and the outside was nice and quiet!! The young ladies checked me quite often and made sure i was ok or needed anything even raised an umbrella up so that I could move to a covered table. I stayed at my table though the gester was very nice.
