I had seen so many positive recommendations online, and was really looking for a gorgeous but simple and expressive cake for my 4 year olds birthday party Without hesitation I was met with a kind voice over the phone letting me know it was absolutely doable! I was so happy seeing this idea come to life, but better than that my son (who ended up sick) was THRILLED. Stars in his eyes it made his day magical. Have already recommended Baking With A Bass to several family and friends.

You won’t find a better bakery in Grain Valley or the surrounding areas. We use Kayla for everything and anything sweet treats. All my kids birthday parties, get togethers, anything is the best occasion for her treats. Any custom orders I’ve had have always turned out better than what I requested. I also love just going in and buying stuff from the case. The sugar cookies are THE BEST things I’ve ever ate, highly recommend you try them if you’re ever wanting a fun little treat one day.

The owner was so sweet! The cupcakes and brownies were beyond AMAZING!! You can tell the treats were made fresh. The cupcakes were super soft and moist, the icing was not too sweet but just right. The brownies had my husband speechless. I went there because my anniversary is coming up and my husband loves German chocolate cake. He took one bite and was sold! She will definitely be seeing me often!

Kayla made our wedding cake and it was so beautiful and delicious! Even a year later when we ate it on our anniversary! I also regularly attend the cake decorating classes she offers and I have the best time everytime and learn so much!!

The owner is amazing. She is friendly and very attentive to the customers. I can see her only getting more popular. My wife loved the macarons that I bought. I had to have 4 customized cupcakes made for a dear friend’s surprise bday dinner at the last minute. I was referred to this bakery, and they were amazing! The cupcakes were frosted with beautiful flowers in the exact colors I requested, and they were delicious! I will definitely be coming back and referring you to others!
