The shrimp in our dragon roll was not fully cooked. Partially translucent. We showed them and they strangely tried to gaslight us and say that it was fully cooked, even after we showed them the clearly translucent shrimp. Eventually they voided it from our check but never offered to remake it. They acted like we were a problem for pointing it out.
I also had ordered mixed tempura. The shrimp in that was cooked perfectly. The rest of the food was good. I understand mistakes happen, but I expect undercooked food to be taken back and replaced with fully cooked food.

This is hands down our favorite sushi spot—we’ve been coming here at least once a month for over 3 years and have never been disappointed. The quality of the food is always top-notch, and you can truly taste the care that goes into every dish. The head sushi chef/owner, Tommy, is incredibly friendly, and his passion for sushi is evident in every bite.
If you’re visiting, you must try the Sapporo salmon sushi—perfectly balanced with marinated onions and bonito flakes—and the sushi spring roll. However, as you can see from the pics, everything is delicious! You won’t find flavors like this anywhere else.

Came for the sushi. Stayed for the friendship, comedy show, and emotional support.
My brother brought me here, and within 30 seconds I realized two things:
1. The owners already knew him by name (power move), and
2. I was about to eat extremely well.
This husband-and-wife duo is the definition of super friendly. Not fake friendly. Not “corporate customer service” friendly. I mean genuinely hilarious, welcoming, treat-you-like-family friendly. The kind of place where you feel like you accidentally walked into a sitcom… and then they feed you incredible sushi.
The sushi? Fresh, flavorful, and gone way too fast because I kept saying, “Okay, last piece,” and then immediately lying to myself.
Between the laughs, the banter, and the fact that they remembered my brother like he’s a local celebrity, this place instantly became one of those spots you recommend to everyone with the warning: “Don’t blame me when you become a regular.”

Quick service, knowledgeable and helpful servers (give them a good tip!), and a very cozy atmosphere. I recommend their Takoyaki, it’s the best takoyaki of every place I’ve tried it so far. Their sushi has no right being as good as it is, all of their rolls, their sashimi, nigiri, will blow you away. Whoever their chefs are, they put together immaculate sushi, best I’ve ever had.
Good for dates, especially the lighting, but to hit that peak romantic vibe you’ll definitely want to go outside of their rush hours for a quieter less busy atmosphere.

Yes all the reviews are correct….amazing sushi in Chandler. 1st time in, I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures of the rolls. Alissa brought me a yellowtail nightmare roll that I may not of ordered without her….so glad she did…very flavorful! Very friendly service and excellent quality sushi, she did a great job even though they were very busy. Tried the standard rainbow, also delicious. Finished with spicy scallop nigiri. This is my new sushi restaurant in town. 2nd time in, craving the yellowtail nightmare, got pictures this time. They were not busy at noon on friday, Alissa served drinks, soup and 1st roll within 7 minutes. Nightmare 5 minutes later. I read some people were unhappy with service when they are busy. 1st of all, its totally worth the wait. 2nd they have a qr code, feel free to place your order for faster service when busy. 3rd….oh my goodness everything is so fresh and delicious. I got through half the yellowtail nightmare before I remembered to take a picture. My compliments to Chef Tommy! Great job everyone!

One of the best sushi meals we’ve ever had. Amazing. It looked beautiful, like art, was super fresh and the flavor was superb. The server is really kind and helpful, atmosphere was great, and the owner / chef was friendly and personable. We’ve lived in AZ for 31 years and it’s the best sushi we’ve had in Az. It’s now our favorite sushi restaurant. Can’t recommend Hi 5 Sushi highly enough!!

Hi-5 has excellent Japanese food. Their ramen has an excellent and flavorful broth and is highly recommended. Their sushi rolls are made with high quality ingredients and are very fresh. Get the fresh wasabi for an extra $2, it compliments the rolls really well. I also like the jalapeño boat that has baked salmon inside. The glazed pork belly is also really tasty. I come here often and the service is always great.
