I showed up at 7pm on a Friday. It was my first time there, and the bar itself has an incredible atmosphere. There was live music, and plenty of people inside to create a lively vibe. Overall, there were several pros and cons.
Pros:
– Good alcohol selection
– Good balance between variety and cohesion on the menu
– Food was delivered in a timely fashion, despite the number of people there
– The patrons seemed to span a wide range of professions and income with some people wearing athletic gear and others wearing an outfit off a mannequin at Banana Republic, which created an atmosphere welcoming of Lansing and East Lansing
Cons:
– Waitstaff seemed frazzled, unsure of how to manage the amount of people that were here
– No scotches from the Islay Islands (this is a personal preference, but feels like a miss given the clientele I imagine the bar is trying to attract)
– Waitstaff was not knowledgeable about the menu and misstated the vegetables that came with the dish I ordered
– Salmon was a little dry for my taste (8/10)
– No dessert options, though apparently that is changing in the spring of 2026
Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and will come back, but I think they can improve in a few areas if they want to attract the clientele I think they want to attract.

Burger was good, I think it needed some onion or lettuce. Missing some flare. It was good, but nothing special. Fries had no seasoning and seemed like they could have come out of a frozen bag. The drippings of my burger on the fries were the best ones. Service was wonderful, super nice staff. My drink had two VERY large mint leaves which made my friend and I laugh, very enjoyable.

I stopped in and asked the gentleman at the bar. If I could use the restroom that I’m not a customer. I’ll buy something if need be he said it’s OK. Go use the restroom. Two minutes later the owner comes to the bathroom door knocking consistently I said I’m almost done when I come out he told me it’s for customers only and I still asked the bartender and told him to buy something need to be. He goes well. I’m the owner and it’s for customers only and then pointed towards the door with his hand. I was willing to buy something I just had to pee. Owner was very rude. I could’ve been a customer down the road, but he didn’t treat me like that. I was willing to buy something. Definitely do not recommend coming here. The hospitality is not good. It’s a bar supposed to be fun and polite and nice and this owner Was a jerk just pounding on the restroom door, knowing that I was in there peeing when his coworker said I can go in there.

Nice place with recently raised prices. I don’t drink so can’t comment on liquor prices, but probably high. Almost everything a la carte now. Menu changed, too, so prices could be raised. Believe the restaurant was recently sold. Would not go there for dinner anymore.

I’ll help you out if you’ve never been here before. My party thought we’d try this place the Wednesday before T-giving. If you don’t go here already, they won’t serve you. I waited at the bar as a dude in the black tshirt finished making drinks. He looked at me multiple times and ignored me. No one else getting drinks and he decided to do other cleaning rather than help me. The girl in the black tshirt got done making drinks and entering the in the register. Then she went in the back. Then she came out and started making a drink for someone else. Then she walked around the bar to the customer service side and hung out with customers talking. I asked a patient how the hell you get a drink. He said “you have to work here.”
The bartender girl stood talking with customers and made eye contact as we grabbed our jackets and left.
Crappy regulars only vibe. Sucks for them because it was gonna be a long night. Watershed treats you much better than this pretentious joke of a bar.

Free Pizza week was awesome. Food was great, servers are awesome and the food is fresh and hot. Definitely need to test out the menu and we will be returning.

Service started out good then quickly went down hill. 1 server had 2 -8 tops. She paid most of her attention to the other table.
Food was highly over priced and severely under seasoned. Truffle fries were very bland and just tasted like normal fries. I literally enjoy McDonald’s more than this food.
Very loud with brick walls.
Most likely will not be back. I feel like I wasted $250.

Just had a group of approx 25 in town for an event and Sidebar hosted us the night before for some appetizers and drinks. It was a busy night due to a Spartan basketball game and another function in the back room, but the staff did a great job taking care of our group. Food and service were outstanding!
