I visited Mehfill for the first time and was highly impressed. The Hyderabadi Style Chicken Biryani (was take-out) it was outstanding—the chicken was fresh, well-portioned, and tasted great with no odor. The Shahi Paneer was also a delicious choice.

The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish had authentic flavors; chicken 65 was perfectly crispy from outside, juicy from inside and right amount of heat. Biryani is one of the best I had in North America, perfectly spiced, loaded with tender meat, every bite reminds of Hyderabad and naan was fresh, soft and straight from the tandoor.

The atmosphere here is a whole vibe, and the food is delicious too! The biryani was freshly prepared and had an authentic Hyderabadi taste. I especially enjoyed the Chicken 65, it was super appetizing in taste, smell and appearance, making it perfect for catering events.
And the Rumali Rotis… my God! Almost see-through but packed with flavor and surprisingly filling — absolutely top tier.
the portion sizes are wonderful, if you’re ordering for one person your bound to have leftovers for later. (the chicken 65 picture is after I had my lol)
I visited on a Saturday evening and ordered takeout while their buffet was running — that may explains the delay. I ended up waiting about 40 minutes for fresh biryani. It would help if staff could give more accurate pickup times so takeout customers don’t show up too early.
I originally ordered the Platter for 4 ($65), but it felt more like a meal for 1–2 people:
• 1 box of biryani (2 small chicken pieces)
• 2 regular curries
• Fries (a bit random for a Desi meal)
• Salad
• 2 small sauces (raita & mirch chutney)
Honestly, I was disappointed with the portion size for the price. Based on individual pricing, I expected at least a small tray of biryani.
I went back and spoke with the manager — he was super understanding and professional. The team handled it really well and offered a much better deal:
• 2 Chicken 65 specials (with 2 Rumali Rotis each)
• 3 Chicken Biryani boxes
All for $68 (cheaper than the platter, lol).
I appreciated the gesture and suggested they review the platter sizing — they took the feedback respectfully. I even bought 4 more biryanis, and the manager gave me a discount plus 1 free biryani for the earlier mix-up.
Final tally: $100 for 2 Chicken 65s, 4 Rumali Rotis, and 7 chicken biryanis — great value and excellent service recovery!
I hope this place gets bigger and better. Authentic taste made with Halal meat and affordable prices is hard to come by and much needed in Windsor.
