Layne’s is a fast food restaurant chain that’s been serving up unbelievable flavor since 1994. Texas born and breaded, Layne’s is on a mission to bring its small-town charm, friendly service, iconic chicken fingers and secret sauce to at least the rest of the world.

We live right by this location and my husband decided to check it out. He brings them home and gives me one. Hands down the best chicken TENDERLOIN I have ever had. That is the differebce, they use the actual tenderloin. Tonight, I bought a salad and some soup for our dinner at Fresh Market. He calls and says if I hadn’t gotten dinner he was gonna get us Laynes. Change of plans, we will have soup another night .tenders on the salad it is!!! These have consistently been the best…juicy, fried in fresh oil, perfect ant of breading . We did get the hot one night and I think someone got carried away because we eat spicy food and it was too hot for us….Hubby loves the wrap …wasn’t crazy about the sandwich. The tenderloins are THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Please don’t change the quality like restaurants always do after getting successful…

So I visited this restaurant for the first time on 2-13-2026 with my niece and nephew. My niece got a new job so we went to this restaurant to celebrate! Customer service here is excellent! Our cashier was extremely helpful I didn’t get her name. The team of employees are on point! I don’t eat Chick-fil-A anymore since last year. This chicken sandwich is delicious and better no chemicals. The lemonade tastes better than Chick-fil-A lemonade also! This restaurant has been around since 1994 I see why. All of the food is fresh cooked to order. My niece got a 4 tenders plate and my nephew got a 3 tenders plate both come with fries and a drink. I got a chicken sandwich with sauce on the side and a kids meal which is 2 tenders with fries and a small drink. I ate the sandwich and my fries and I drank the lemonade. I took my tenders home with the sauce. I like this place more than Zaxby’s also. Pull up and check them out definitely worth the trip not a disappointment.

I’m familiar with Layne’s Chicken Fingers from the original College Station location, so I was excited to visit this one while I was in the area. My first visit when they opened was great and everything was hot and fresh, which made this experience even more disappointing.
The chicken fingers tasted like they had been sitting or refried, and while the fries were decent, the overall quality was not what I expected, especially at lunchtime. I also felt the overall cleanliness and staff appearance could have been better.
I’m mindful about where I choose to spend my money, and this visit did not reflect the quality I’ve experienced in the past. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Honestly… it was mid. The Texas toast was good, nothing special. Certain parts of the chicken were heavily covered and seasoned and other parts were kind of bare. We got spicy and I could not even tell but the chicken was well cooked, it was crispy but not dry. I also found the Layne’s sauce to be very mediocre and extremely peppery, no other prominent flavors. Would I pick this over Dave’s? Probably not

Wow — super fast service and seriously fresh, juicy, crispy, hot chicken! My son and his friends couldn’t stop talking about it, and I’m just as hooked. This spot shot straight into my Top 5 Chicken Tenders list! I’ve been here three times, and every visit has been consistently awesome. Can’t wait to come back — keep up the great work!

Chicken is alright. Snack wrap had no sauce on it when I asked for the lames sauce. Asked for lames sauce with my 5 finger plate and they gave me ranch instead. The gravy I think was spoiled when served to me… Going back to zaxbys.

First time trying Laynes because I got a coupon and I’m 50/50.
The food was pretty mediocre, honestly zaxbys is way better in regards to flavor with the chicken , fries, signature sauce and the amount of food you get is a lot more with zaxbys.
Unfortunately the customer service was awful! I understand there’s teenagers that work there and may not care about service but you can at least be professional and polite. That’s basic customer service.
I would not visit again. I’d rather spend my money at zaxbys.

Layne’s reminds me of old school Zaxby’s, before they sold out and every order was a freshness gamble.
The chicken was brined perfectly, and the fry had just the right crunch. There is a sneaky ingredient that adds flavor in the spicy seasoning that is really unique. Their trademark sauce is the perfect combo as well.
The fries were perfectly light and crispy, something you don’t find too often with crinkle fries.
Order came out in decent time, Staff was really kind. While there is nothing here that will absolutely blow your mind, I think a good fried chicken place is one that you can count on. This feels like that.

Y’all I gotta be honest if you’re in the mood for tenders go to Zaxby’s. The tenders aren’t bad they’re just not great and I want to love this place, but I didn’t catch much in the way of seasoning and then the Layne’s sauce didn’t really slap the way I thought it would. I guess I was expecting more of a raising Cane’s flavor which I love but it was kinda more like a sweeter sauce.
Anyways the cashier was very nice to me, If you like tenders you won’t hate this spot and they can definitely make better tenders than me at home, but I just can’t give it more than a 3.

10/10. Chicken quality was superb. Breading was amazing. Laynes sauce was more peppery, which i loved. Staff was 10/10. Spicy tenders weren’t that spicy, just more flavorful. Fries were crinkle cut, crispy and good. Crushed ice is always a plus.
