Pho ingredients and side selections were pretty wide for a small shop. I got the tendon, meatball and flank. It was very good. Very costly tho for my medium sized bowl. It was $19 I also bought a drank. I did not like the wait time. I came around lunch time on a weekday and I waited for a good 10 mins in line.

The fam and I went to try MARO and I personally wasn’t disappointed. I got the house Ramen and for a cold and brisk evening, it was perfect. The broth was well balanced and very flavorful. I highly recommended at least giving them a try. They’re located in the downtown Redding Market. Happy eating fam!

The food and experience far exceeded my high expectations. I had pho, dumplings, egg rolls, AND a noodle appetizer. I ate sooooo much because each dish created another stomach for me to handle. Everything tasted like it was handcrafted with love. BEST egg rolls by far!!!!

Yo, I’m confused. I dont understand other peoples low rating. Legit not lieing when I say this place has the best pho broth in town! And I have tried them all! Other places have higher rating, but not even good. We went on a Saturday around 1pm and the restaurant had the longest line. Idk what that means (if slow service, or good food?).

Here’s my opinion.
PRO: broth was good! We did pho and khaopoon. Both were good and will be going back to try kasoy and Ramen. Decent variety of toppings with meat and veggies.

CON: organization could be better. The ordering part was way too slow. I know they’re still new, but they need to find a better way to speed up the ordering part. The portion could be bigger. My husband is 200lb, and he said he was not full after oxtail pho. I’m 100lb and my khaopoon could’ve been more too. I’d say portion size not worth it for the price. This next part is not their fault, but the seating area could be better too. It’s like a cafeteria setting at the public market and some people were just sitting and chatting when there were so many people wanting to sit down and eat, especially with Maro’s customers who has bowl of hot soup.

Overall I would go back.

Absolutely delicious meal at Maro yesterday. I l or the build your own bowl. My kid ordered exactly what she wanted and so did I. I love all the noodle options. We will be back and highly recommend. The atmosphere of the public market is amazing too!

All my favorite types of noodles, with all my favorite ingredients, and favorite types of broth… Amazing concept! Always someone in line but it moves fast. The soup comes out piping hot and is perfect for a cold day or after a looong night 😉

Honestly, the pho was a 4/10 at best if you don’t pay attention to the fact that the cabbage looked like it was about to expire if not already expired. The bowl itself didn’t even look like pho, the meat had no flavor whatsoever, which in no way justified $17 for a small bowl whereas other places charge the same for a large. It’s more like flavorless beef noodle soup. I’m all for supporting local food. However, our biggest issue was the server, who tried to sneak themselves a tip by tapping 15% for us. Unfortunately we will not be eating here again.

Warm Ramen hit the spot on a cold night here in Redding. Customer service was quick, friendly and helpful on what to build our Ramen bowl with. Would recommend this place!

Worst ramen I’ve ever had. Tasteless broth. Not creamy at all like authentic ramen broth. You can tell it’s not been brewed for long hours. Ingredients did not taste good. Chashu was not cooked, marinated well to where it’s brown in color. Meat was pale and tasteless. Overpriced.
Would not eat there again.

My son and I tried this place for lunch today. We wanted fresh noodles and braised pork but they were out of both. So he did Ramen noodles with chicken broth and brisket and mine was Ramen, brisket with beef broth. Had really good flavor. Just wish they had what we went there for. Maybe next time. $30
