Mad Minnow is an absolute gem in the heart of Harwich Port! This wonderful, kid-friendly spot has truly found its place as a staple in the community, thanks to the creativity and dedication of its current owners. The food is consistently delicious, with flavorful, well-crafted dishes that keep you coming back for more. The drinks are just as impressive—whether you’re in the mood for a refreshing craft cocktail, classic drink, or beer, they’ve got you covered.

The service is fantastic! The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making every visit a great experience. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, you can soak in the charming atmosphere no matter where you sit. There’s just something about Mad Minnow that makes you want to linger a little longer. If you’re in Harwich Port, do yourself a favor and stop by—you won’t be disappointed!

Super overpriced for frozen fried food. Sister restaurants with 3 monkeys. So one of them is fine for a quick bite, but don’t expect anything special. Again super overpriced. That was definitely not. $32 plate of scallops or $28 plate of bolognese, food is served in paper plates, tables are sticky. Like it can’t get any worse. Definitely not worth it.

The food was decent. I ordered the Mad Tuna. The mushy fried rice ball wasn’t really to my taste, but the tuna itself and the sauces were quite good. My main issue is with the pricing. The menu listed lower prices, but when the check came, every item was slightly more expensive. It wasn’t a marginal difference, but it felt deceptive, and I really dislike that kind of dishonesty.

Mad Minnow is the ultimate summertime destination, whether you’re looking for post-beach cocktails and apps or a full dinner. The experience here is consistently amazing. With both outdoor and indoor dining options, plus a charming outdoor bar (cocktails are ordered inside), you can choose the perfect setting to relax and enjoy. The food is nothing short of incredible, and the extensive drink menu ensures that there’s something for everyone. While parking can be tricky during peak hours, especially in the summer, it’s well worth doing a few laps to secure a spot. Mad Minnow is a must-visit for a fantastic dining experience.

We hosted our cocktail-style dinner after our wedding at Mad Minnow on 9/13/25. They had never hosted an event quite like that before but Ali and Jorge were extremely helpful with our vision and made it happen and it was the best night! The food is fantastic – my friends are still talking about the lobster rangoons. The bartenders were SO nice and fun and we have so many pictures together! The espresso martinis on tap are delicious. The tented space is so ideal and the location is perfect for a Harwich Port night. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Small seating room but luckily has bar and outdoor seating. Really like the down to earth casual vibe.
Drinks are awesome, different but with a classic vibe.
Every meal option sounds good and need to come back to try more.
Not a leftover in sight – Mad Tuna, Lobster Carbonara , Chicken Sandwich and Scallop Roll

Food – yummy. Service – good. What I don’t get is, the short rib risotto is listed on the menu as $34. Not $39, but $34. What the heck is this? Sorry, but that’s just not right.

Stopped without a reservation after a long drive and got a nice table for 1. Clam chowder was awesome start and the fish and chips was well worth ordering. The batter is more like seasoned panko which was a nice change. Excellent service!

Overall, a bit overpriced for very bland food.

Food:

Appetizer was the calamari. It was light and crispy and was great. It came with two sauces which was nice. The portion was small for the price.

My wife had the short rib risotto. It was very bland. The short ribs and risotto lacks richness and flavor.

I had the Mad Tuna. The tuna was fresh but also bland. There was a hint of sweet & tangy sauce between the tuna slices, but otherwise it was altogether misssing and bland. The sushi rice croquettes were also very bland. Don’t recall what exactly the green sauce they sat on is, but also bland. If I’m being empathetic, it seemed like a food consistency issue or just an off night.

The atmosphere.

It was a Friday evening, 6:30 PM when we dined. So, it was busy. The bar was lively with waiting customers enjoying libations. The atmosphere was loud, and so was the music. Not great for an intimate dinner but good for family, especially the outdoor sitting areas.

The service:

The staff were nice but barely attentive. They all seem tired. It was 6:30pm when we dined, so, it was early into dinner service.

Overall, the meal felt underwhelming and overpriced.

We were a family of four. Our meals included kids Mac & cheese, chicken tenders & fries, calamari appetizers, short ribs risotto, and the mad tuna. Drinks included a cape cod blonde, sparkling water, and two kids’ Shirley Temple.

Including tips, our meal was $170.
