Live nearby and I had my cousin visiting from out of town. Decided to check it out after we went to the beach. Happy hour specials on food were great. 11-3 and 3-7 feature different food items, thought that was pretty cool! We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and it was big portions for the price and very flavorful and fresh. Drink deals were good if you like well or domestic but I prefer craft beer but the price was still good for Fresh on Tap!

I’ve been in and out of this establishment many times over the past ten years and always loved the atmosphere. Seen plenty of new faces over the years, met the previous owners and staff and have always had a great time. This new place has a cool look to it which it definitely needed! The staff and food is great! I really want to give tall boy a 5 star review but the new owner really puts a bad taste in my mouth. Hes has such a bad energy about him when he walks into the building. I’ve tried introducing myself to him and he just gave me a smirk and said “yeah I own the place” and continued walking away while ignoring my hand shake. I thought maybe he was having a bad day but its everyday he walks into the building. I watch him belittle his employees with the way he speaks to them, I watch him angrily toss things around, he just doesnt seem like a really nice guy and he drains the fun out of the room when he appears. Other than that everything else is really good. The wings, smash burger, the drinks, and the sevice are what keeps me coming in.

I stopped into this bar for lunch and was genuinely impressed. $10 lunch special is too good! The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, the music is always on point, and the staff moves fast even when it’s busy. My bartender was super friendly, made great recommendations, and kept the drinks coming without ever making me feel rushed. The place is clean and the whole vibe is just easy and enjoyable. Definitely one of my new favorite spots.

What used to be known as Whistle Stop, this great spot has become my staple in the week. The happy hour deals throughout the day make it affordable to eat out and the deals in the evenings make it possible to bring a date here and treat a friend for an evening. Staff is nice, food has become consistent, and I’m enjoying being able to see a hidden gem before it becomes big.

Super cool spot with retro dive bar vibes. Price points are great and the smash burger and fries was A+. Very friendly and attentive staff. If you’re looking for something outside of the average modern cookie cutter bars and are into dive bars like me, I highly recommend! Thanks for bringing this to Boca and see you soon! Cheers!

Tall Boy is SUCH a vibe! This is just what Boca needed. It’s so unique with its artwork and decor, an huge upgrade from what the previous business had going on.
Amelie and Maykol behind the bar are so great and the food, especially the hand cut fries, were bomb! I can’t wait to come back and sing karaoke on Tuesday’s and will be there for the live bands.

Loud if you want to talk but beautiful place service is awesome bathrooms are super clean and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Overall amazing experience but we just wanted it a little quieter so that’s why we left but if you’re going out to party have a good time and meet great people a++ experience

Finally, a spot in Boca (South Florida in general) with some character and an owner that gives a damn. It’s been awesome to watch the transformation of this space into a local music venue and relaxed hang out spot. On top of that, the bartenders are fantastic, the bathrooms are clean and smell great, the food was really good (cuban and fish tacos), and the prices are super fair. So happy to have Tall Boy in the area!

Wow this place is great! I recently heard they had changed owners and stopped in with my boyfriend and friends Thursday night. Love the decor and the bartender Sabrina we met was awesome!! The other bartender was great as well ( didn’t get his name. ) The food was sooo good, and didn’t even know they had ladies drink free after 9!! Definitely will be back for the service and for the food!!
