Sat in the bar for happy hour. Matt the bartender was very attentive and helpful. The drinks and food were great and what an incredible building! This is the go to spot to turn back the clock on classic bars and restaurants!

Food and drinks were fine. Service was sporadic. The butternut squash soup was to die for! We sat at the bar and it seemed like there was a lot of help but they seemed overwhelmed. Assuming that there was my re people beyond the bar. Hence we’d get put in the back burner. At the end of our stay not once but 2x …patrons yelled about a mouse running around near us. The bar tenders ignored it…when my bill came I said you gotta give me a discount considering there’s mice running around here. She took my ravioli to go order off . I thought that was fair but still why are there mice running around in the dinning room?

We have been to two Happy Hours here in the past couple years, the first last summer on a Friday, and again tonight, a Thursday. The first one, I think there was one bartender for the room, and he was also servicing the entire restaurant. There were about 8 of us and it took a very long time to get waited on while we were there. It was a Friday, so you want to cut them some slack, nut one bartender for the Gandy Dancer and the Grand Concourse. That really isn’t OK. So tonight, Thursday, we expected less busy, but it turned out the bar side filled up, and the staff was overwhelmed. Again took forever to get waited on and also to get our food (confusion reigned in getting our order to all come out). The Happy Hour specials are pretty decent. Drink and appetizer specials were reasonable and reasonable tasty. Though I will say, I had both the East End Big Hop and the Dogfish head, and both tasted a little off to me – wondering if the lines need cleaned/maintained?

This is going to be an ongoing review as I just started coming here for lunch. So far I am liking the establishment, selection is good as is the food I’ve had here. Scott the bartender appears to be a straight up guy. The only negative so far is that it’s owned by Landry’s. The wifi password btw is joinlsc. Signal strength could be a lot better (see attached photo). On Sunday’s the Grand Concourse as well as Gandy Dancer offers an outstanding brunch. So much food all you can eat for $30.00, everything from breakfast eggs, carving stations, fish selections, pastries, fruits, you name it it’s offered.

The GD is an excellent place to have draft and feel the vibe of an old school bar, mahogany, brass and dark corners; the bar is from 1886.
Was throughly stuffed from Texas de Brazil so didn’t even glance at the menu. No Guinness on tap, sadly, & happy hour begins @ 4 (although the website says 3:30?)

We are new to Pittsburgh. We walked over to this local Station Square District to explore. We had seen the Gandy online and decided to check it out. What a cool historical spot! We actually went two evenings in a row the food and service was so good. Amanda and Sammie took great care of us each night. We had the wedge salad, asparagus, filet, smashed redskin potatoes and chicken breast with a mushroom and artichoke topping. Everything was cooked to perfection both nights. Friday evening was definitely buzzing with a great happy hour business and locals crowd! We will definitely become regulars. Large long bar and table seating both. Top notch!

This place routinely has horrible service. Not busy, sat in a nice pub table in the bar area. Ignored. Just sat. So we moved to the bar proper. Of course when you’re sitting there you’ll get some attention. Ordered an appetizer and it never came out. Had a quesadilla, still waiting on the appetizer. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and promised to comp the appetizer — LOL, it never came! Thanks but no thanks. This place has an old-school bar feel but it’s never worth the hassle of the experience.

We had a great time for lunch! The food was excellent and our server was amazing. The view of the city was great and we had a wonderful time! Taylor made us feel right at home and we couldn’t believe the portions and decent prices. Wonderful restaurant and we can’t wait to visit again!

Fun stop at this cool and historic spot for an appetizer and a cold beverage after a boat tour. Beautiful building and decor as well as the adjacent full dining experience.

First time I was here for just drinks. Service and selection was great and was cheaper (and nicer) than the Hard Rock two doors down. While I haven’t ordered off of the menu, I have been here multiple times for their amazing brunch. While pricey, worth it in my opinion.
