My first time here, so many choices in this beautiful French market, so I decided on two tostadas from this restaurant. The owner was most gracious and the best chicken tostada I’ve ever had from an authentic Mexican restaurant. The flavors were fresh and amazing from the first bite to the last! The owner even came into the seated dining area to make sure that I was pleased with my food! I couldn’t stop talking about the flavors because I’m always eating Mexican food and every chicken tostada to date has been stringy meat covered up with sauce, not this place, I could eat the chicken and steak by itself and still be satisfied!!!! My first choice was a great one and the price was not bad at all!

The owner was extremely accommodating to my gluten allergy. Even though there was a line, he made sure the cook top was clean for me. This meant the world to me. I really enjoy getting lunch here and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious, local, fast lunch in the French Market!

I wish I found this place sooner! No line, but still took a while to make. Why? Because they make it fresh for you while you wait and when you finally get to eat it, it doesn’t taste like Chipotle or Qdoba – it tastes like something you can make at home, but spicy, even if you ask for mild! Even though there was lettuce, they don’t just use it as filler, every ingredient is wonderfully proportioned and they don’t skimp. I’ll definitely eat from here again.

While I’ve enjoyed both the tacos and burritos at Buen Apetito I really have to say that the true standout is the nachos.
I tend to order them as a side when I don’t feel a sandwich I brought from home will do the trick on filling me up and both the regular and spicy varieties are always enough to hit the spot! (Honestly I could probably fill up on their small order of nachos most days.)
Their steak is probably the best option to go with though all of their choices are good to pick from!

I wasn’t expecting the best mexican food in the world, but this place does not even come close to decent. I got the cheese enchiladas and I’ve got to say the sauce was probably the worst part. It’s not fresh, straight out of the can, you can taste the preservatives and it’s not good. Not even spicy. I guess it’s partly personal preference, but this dish was not quality by any means. I have not tried their other dishes, but this experience alone makes me never want to go back.

This is a great spot to grab a taco (or 3) for lunch. Their menu isn’t complicted, and they do the ‘basic’ stuff spot on. Their chicken or steak tacos are my favorite way to nab a quick cheap-enough lunch on a Tuesday.
As a side note, when they ask if you want your taco spicy, they mean it. Spicy (it can vary a bit) can occasionally draw a tear or a cough while eating. Good fun!

This time I had shrimp enchiladas supreme and as always, the food is delicious. Obviously a homemade rich sauce. Quality of the ingredients is great and food is well-seasoned. Will be back soon.
