I’ve visited several times, and this place never misses. The food is made with love 10/10 & the owner is incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which makes every visit feel special. Easily one of the best Japanese restaurants.

THE BEST SUSHI AROUND and an amazing experience every time! We haven’t been here in over a year but the owner remembered me and my husband before we even took a seat. Always generous portions, great food, and kind staff.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Uma Japanese restaurant, and the experience was delightful. The dishes were visually stunning and equally delectable. The sushi rolls were beautifully presented, bursting with fresh ingredients, and drizzled with flavorful sauces that complemented the rolls perfectly. The ramen bowl had a rich, creamy broth with tender noodles, crisp vegetables, and succulent slices of pork, making it a comforting and satisfying dish.

The fried rice, both chicken and shrimp varieties, was well-cooked with a nice balance of vegetables, tender meat, and a perfect seasoning that tied everything together. The vibrant garnish of green onions added a fresh crunch. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste was evident, making this a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine.

We were not super hungry, so couldn’t try
many dishes. Salmon sushi was the best.
Ordered green tea and it was forgotten. Not a big deal but I couldn’t finish at all, so requested to go, then the lady gave me a new tea in the cup. I thought that was very sweet. We would love to go back again.

We have been here a few times. We went to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday today. This place doesn’t disappoint us at all!!!!! They made her birthday so special and we cannot thank them enough.
This is our favorite place to come for sushi!

We came in from out of town and wanted to eat before driving home. We found this place and were very happy with our experience. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing! I don’t usually like miso, but the miso soup was delicious. The bento box was a great value for the price, and the chicken katsu had a great flavor and crunch. The sushi was delicious and filling. My partner said this restaurant is the closest thing he has found to being back in Tokyo. We want to return to the area simply to go to this restaurant again.

We had a family meal at UMA Japanese Restaurant and ordered the pork cutlet, sashimi bibimbap, spicy chicken teriyaki, and spicy seafood yaki udon. Everyone in the family agreed that the food was delicious, and we were especially impressed by how friendly and welcoming the staff were. Considering the quality of the food and the prices, this restaurant offers excellent value. We highly recommend UMA Japanese Restaurant.

Nut allergy friendly: No issues with sushi, though I almost never have issues with Japanese food.

Time-to-Food: 24 Minutes for the Maki Roll Combo

I came for lunch and had no issues getting a table for four around noon on a Thursday.

Each meal was accompanied by a pleasant miso soup as a starter.

Unfortunately, I think the entrees all fell a bit flat for us. All of my colleagues that ordered ramen thought they were okay. I ordered the Maki Roll Combo for lunch with the Eel Cucumber, Salmon Avocado, and Boston (shrimp, avocado, and cucumber) roll, and some of my colleagues ordered a special roll. Overall, I would say that the rolls are very small, and on the rice-heavier side. The specials are more sauce-heavy. There wasn’t much fish at all and I was still hungry after eating the 3-Maki Roll combo. I’d say the eel was the best of them.

We had minor service issues, where one of my party asked a question about the lunch special (it was mentioned that the Sashimi Lunch was non-substitutable) and the staff interpreted that as an order. They did not charge us for this, thankfully.

One of my party reported food poisoning after coming here, but I could not say if it was related.

Overall, it is relatively expensive for rolls that are not that special. I’d consider returning if I had a sushi itch and I was in the area.

I can’t recommend Uma enough. I’ve dined here since they opened and come back again and again. The food is amazing visually and tastefully, and the atmosphere is very relaxing and peaceful. The owners are one of a kind and their hard work shows through every dish and visit. If you’re on the fence, go give them a try.

First time. The restaurant was not busy. Experience was AMAZING. Loved the ambiance and decor. The waitress and chef were sooo nice. Definitely appreciated the chefs personal suggestions for our meal. Everything was beautifully plated. The calamari steak, pepper tuna, and chicken gyoza dumpling appetizers were soo good. The yummy yummy roll was great, liked it better than My red dragon roll, but still was good. Fried rice with the frozen mixed vegetables in it was OK…. had better, but edible. Dessert was freakin grrrrreat – banana tempura & green tea mochi was heavenly combination, even tho they didn’t come together. I haven’t been to Japan in over a decade, but this place definitely put Me right back there. And the first-time Japanese cuisine eater that joined Me, loved EVERY BITE. Even the water and tea was good!!
We’ll definitely be back.

Ngoc was the best server we’ve experienced in a very long time. He was attentive but not intrusive and he took the time to make sure we all knew exactly what we were ordering so that everyone got precisely what they really wanted. He also has an incredible sense of humor! The food was good but the service is what would bring me back!
