Every. Single. Table. In the place had been used and was dirty. This was at 2PM!!! There were ZERO 0️⃣ other customers there other than a van of two older people that left the DT. The ice machine in the lobby was empty. They didn’t offer to fill glass with ice when they knew it was empty already. This went on for four, five, six customers later. It didn’t get don’t until a younger lady dark shoulder length hair in a braid came in and actually manned the front lobby register and stocking/cleaning! I never once saw the guys that were working do anything! Not clean tables, trash in lobby was full, trays stacked, ice machine not a drop of ice in it! When I entered I waited about ten minutes to have my order taken and there was not another person in the place. Meanwhile, at least three guys working discussing their pay. The management in this very NEW establishment will have the nails in the coffin of it before long at this rate. Someone from corporate or the owner needs to come in and bring in some NEW leadership!!! Ones that work and lead by example. I left the LJS to come eat lunch here because it didn’t seem clean and I knew this was newer. I may have traded one for the same. I sure hope at $10 a meal someone comes and turns this place around because the lack of work ethic and leadership is quite telling! You can even see the dirty hand prints all over the door on the way in. Sometimes, take a look at it from the eyes of the customers. The first thing we see. $ money went in to building this nice establishment and the lack of cleanliness and care is showing. Receipt says Michael.

I have loved Popeye’s chicken for many years but unfortunately the closest one to me is in Lexington. I was very excited when the Berea location opened. My first visit was just a few weeks after the restaurant opened which was ample time to get the kinks worked out. The chicken was cold and hard which contributed to a very unpleasant visit. I ended up throwing about half of my meal away because it was so unappetizing. I just happened to be in Berea last week and decided it was time to try that location again. I ordered two spicy tender meals for my wife and me. While the chicken was somewhat better this time, it was still not hot and appetizing as it should be. It was nowhere near the quality of any of the other Popeye’s that I have visited during my travels. I was there during what I would consider the supper rush period but the restaurant was empty, which probably should have told me something. I may return to the Berea location again but it is highly unlikely. I used to go around singing the jingle, love that chicken from Popeye’s, but no more.

Ordered a 18 piece family tender meal, ghost pepper sandwich, and two piece drumstick meal with sweet tea and large dr pepper at approx. 1900 on Father’s day. The chicken tenders ($40) seem to be fried clams instead (see pictures) The clam’s pallor was corpselike but were alive and pink in the middle with no seasoning. No sauce was given. The sweet tea had gone bad several days ago. None of the above were suitable for consumption. The drumsticks were chicken wings. See picture of macaroni and cheese pudding. Something is not right here. I will not go here again but recommend to management that they use the $75 I spent to try to feed my family to fund tearing down the facility and starting over.

I just had the chance to try the “Hot Ones” collaboration tenders and wings, and this is the first time I’ve thought that anything from a fast food joint was legitimately spicy. I LOVED IT If you are a fan of spice, do yourself a favor and try them out. I now wish I would have tried the sandwich, because if it’s anything like the wings/tenders it’ll also be a big hit. GREAT JOB!!!

DISGUSTED!! I’m just disgusted that all the other restaurants in the area don’t provide the same service, that i just got here at Popeyes. Food hot and delicious. Crew members were polite and respectful. They didn’t say “what” or “huh”. Great job all the way around!!

I went there and got a reasonable sized order for two people. I waited 20 minutes. Part of this is my own fault, I placed the app order in their parking lot. I pull up, he says to pull up near the door. There is only one other car infront of me. This is important later.
After 20 minutes, I think they might just be too short staffed to bring my food out so I go in. There are several people who have left the drive thru since I’ve been waiting and they hadn’t even started on my order. To top it off they didn’t even have two of the items I ordered which isn’t the first time I’ve had this issue. When the wraps first came around they didn’t have the stuff to make them apparently.
The management here is abysmal. This place needs to either get new ownership or shut down. I’ve never seen a fast food restaurant be so slow yet take so long and have so little

Food was good but my daughter’s mac n cheese was burnt, I had to ask for another one.. and it was kinda pricey for the chicken tenders. Bomb red beans and rice!
The building is new and has a good clean feeling to it.
The sweet tea wasn’t even sweet, so I was a little disappointed.

Went through the drive-thru around 2:50 p.m. and was the only car in line. Ordered two chicken sandwich combos and was told they would need 5 minutes to fry some fresh chicken. No problem. Pay at the window and pull up where they tell me to. After waiting 15 minutes I go in and there are only two people eating inside. Finally get my order after 17 minutes total, with no apology or explanation other than “it took longer than we expected”. On top of all that they still forgot my biscuits and the fries were undercooked. Smh

The Berea Popeyes is hands down one of the best-run fast-food restaurants I’ve ever visited. The food is always hot, fresh, and full of that classic Popeyes flavor, but what really makes this location shine is the outstanding team that runs it.
The managers, Brittany, Toni, and Jessica set the tone with their leadership. They were all three visible, engaged, and clearly care about their team as well as their customers. It’s easy to see that they take pride in their work, and it shows in the smooth operation of the whole restaurant.
Ethan, Tyler, Connie, and Scott were equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure every guest had a positive experience. From taking my order to preparing the food, they went above and beyond with their great attitudes and attention to detail.
The restaurant itself was spotless and welcoming, which tells me the whole team is committed not just to great service, but to creating an environment where customers feel comfortable. That’s not something you find at every fast-food spot.
Thanks to Brittany, Toni, Connie, Ethan, Tyler, and Scott, I left completely satisfied and already looking forward to my next visit. If you’re in Berea and craving Popeyes, this is the location to visit—you’ll get great food, friendly service, and an experience that feels a step above the rest
