Came through to Pleasanton to visit my German cousin and we stumbled across this nice little Austrian restaurant. He hadn’t been to downtown in a while and this was a nice surprise for him as he didn’t know this place existed. The inside was nicely decorated and was a good looking bar. The seating was a little bit crammed as there were a lot of small tables inside. The food was on point and really hit home. I especially liked the spicy bratwurst as it was a lot spicier than I was expecting for a European style sausage. It was a pleasant surprise. What was strange to us was both servers available did not seem to comprehend what we were ordering each time. We pronounced the food and beer names as they would be in German and they had no clue what we were referring to until we pointed. One even asked us if we were sure the restaurant had the item we requested even though we were literally reading off the menu. It seems like the staff could use some additional refresher training. Other than that, it was a cool spot for some Austrian/German food and drinks. We’ll be sure to visit again.

One of the better kept secrets in the Pleasanton California restaurant row. Service was super friendly and generous and fast. Food quality was extremely high for what would be considered extremely low prices for the Bay area. This is definitely one of the best bargains for fine dining you will find anywhere in the Bay area. Excellent traditional German food with a nice modern twist. I highly recommend this restaurant and parking with super easy to find.

Great cocktails and German inspired menu. We ate there on a cold evening and this was the perfect warming meal for such a night. It reminded us of our meals when traveling in Germany and Austria.

They have a great cocktail & wine list and a beautiful bar and restaurant space. The service was very inviting and friendly and we had a really enjoyable experience.

Perfect date spot! Came here for dessert with my boyfriend, and our server told us that all four desserts are homemade. We decided on the Salzburger Nockerol Vanilla Soufflé, and it was AMAZING!
The ambiance of the entire restaurant was peaceful and inviting.
I am looking forward to coming back.

Absolutely Amazing Experience!
We had such a wonderful time at Naschmarkt in Pleasanton! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. Danny, our server, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made our dining experience truly memorable. A huge thank you also to Ismail, the owner, who came by to check on us and made us feel right at home — such a gracious and passionate host!
As for the food — wow! We loved the chicken schnitzel sandwich, perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The sausage triowas a highlight as well, with each sausage offering a unique and delicious taste of Austria. And the goulash (or “ghoulish” as we happily called it!) was rich, comforting, and absolutely soul-satisfying.
We left full, happy, and already talking about our next visit. So amazing. Can’t wait to come back

We were so excited to try this new Austrian restaurant! Very unique to Pleasanton. My friends had the salmon, and the Beef Hungarian goulash. I’m getting the delicious goulash next time! I had the eggs Benedict. It had a little kick to the Austrian sauce and was so yummy! My husband had the fish tar tar and loved it. We also shared the Brie and apricot egg rolls! I will crave those forever! It was so nice to sit outside. They have a full bar inside and the decor is very beautiful and classy. We talked with the owner and the manager. We’ve met them before and are very friendly.

RAVE for Naschmarkt Pleasanton! The warm and elegant atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly and punctual. The beer, wine and cocktail options are quite wide. We tried Pineapple Express Coctail, the classic Wiener Schnitzel, Homemade Pretzel, Spatzle, Grilled Sturgeon. The meals were great and a great restaurant in every detail in Downtown. Definitely recommend it!

Wonderful experience – top-notch cooking. Naschmarkt blends authentic Austrian food with the perfect amount of fusion for an overwhelming experience.

Yes, the food is not free – good food takes time, effort – but when you taste that Jaegerschnitzel, you’ll know where your $$ went.

The entrees, desserts are delicious – I enjoyed the SALZBURGER NOCKERL – lightest vanilla souffle I’ve ever tasted. Wonderful service, our server knew what we were looking for and exactly how to give us the best experience.

Creative Austrian cuisine; the goulash & schnitzel are highly recommended. They also make a first class strudel. Service was excellent.
