This was my first time trying Wa Wah Kitchen. I was hesitant due to all the poor reviews, but my lunch special chicken and broccoli was delicious! The rice left a little to be desired, but the sauce made up for it. This is typical run of the mill American Chinese, but it definitely gets an “A” in my book. My co-workers and I all got different things and everything we tried was delicious. Proximity to my job is important as well, and since this is on the same street, I’ll definitely be ordering again.

Got the general tso’s lunch came with pork fried rice it said. There was no pork and the rice was nothing at all like chinese fried rice. The General Tso’s chicken was also not good. Usually order from a place in Wallingford but it was Monday and they are closed. Would not order from here again.

Just order 4 meals and just so surprised how the quality of has gone down since January, the rice was so bland no seasoning no vegetables nothing but a few pieces of pork..I just can’t believe the order I got. I have never had to right a poor review before and i have ordered alot. The boneless spare ribs are so disgusting and full oil I threw out a complete order…I cant believe that the quality of the food is this bad…what a shame they would serve this…look at all the oil in the spare ribs mostly fat pieces and the taste is nasty…

Don’t recommend wasting money here…
Crab Rangoon: had a good flavor but looked and taste overcooked or they were not freshly made,
Beef lo main: the beef tastes rubbery with not a lot of flavor, only the noodles taste okay like any other noodles.
Sweet and sour chicken: Flour mixture was not cooked properly it was undercooked but chicken was robbery and tasted a little old, the sweet and sour sauce was watery and not thick like in other chinese places.
Pork fried rice: Rice did not have almost any flavoring, it looks and tastes like white rice was overcooked with a softer textured than usual chinese rice mixed in with other vegetable condiments and some pieces of pork that barely had seasoning, is not your regular chinese rice that you expect.
Egg rolls: Looks a little over cooked inside a transparent bag but did not taste when received, can’t say if they were good or not.
