My husband and I visited this wonderful “gem” after googling restaurants in the area and reading the reviews. We were not disappointed! The owner was noticed by me out in the line area greeting his customers who were also in line some he knew some he didn’t. That’s a great sign of good customer service and appreciation of his costumers! He got high points from me right from the start, I didn’t know at that point who he was. (I was hoping he was the owner or a great manager)
Once at the counter to order the young lady was kind and helpful by inquiring if onion (allergic) was in what I wanted. The same guy came out to tell me what items were available for me.
Once paying for our meal that’s when I saw an article identifying the owner!
Now let’s talk about the food……..it was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned and the amount received was unheard of these days! We can’t wait to return finally to a restaurant with great food and service as it should be! My husband ate every morsel and I wished I’d ordered a large Mac n cheese and a meal to carry home.
The old saying: “Eat where the lines are long and where the locals eat” was proven true on Sunday!!

The wife and were exploring Georgia, and a search for peach cobbler led me here. A real Americana soul food joint with flair. Friendly people, fast service and outstandingly good food at a great price. The wife had ribs with mustard greens and green beans. She commented on the perfect seasoning and the texture. I tried the fried chicken with mac and cheese and green beans. The chicken was juicy, fell off the bone, and the batter was perfect. That mac and cheese was great also. While we were enjoying our meal in the screened-porch dining room, there was a constant flow of local customers that clearly come often. Do yourself a favor, and find this gem if you want to experience some Georgia soul.

Great food and friendly staff. After our vacation to the panhandle we made a special trip to Climmes after seeing a YouTube video review. The food is delicious, My favorite is the turkey wings and smoked hamburger steak with the tasty mac n cheese. Not many places that still cook with love. We would definitely recommend you try them out.

Visiting from London we wanted authentic BBQ and we weren’t disappointed. We got an extremely warm welcome and had a great chat with the owners. The food was 10/10 I can’t recommend this place more. An absolute must visit in Thomasville.

This is Thomasville’s little secret BBQ. The staff are always so friendly and inviting to EVERYONE!! The food is authentic home cooking BBQ and its a local business that I love to support. Everything’s great but the ribs, Mac and cheese and greens is my go too with a large sweet tea, YUM. The seating area is screened in so the bugs stay out when you eat or you can take it to go.

This food is beyond word good, like my grandmother made everything. We had a good variety of everything on our trip to Tallahassee.
Make the stop, save some room, don’t eat anything else because you will want the room for the items here . Make sure you get the banana pudding with no bananas. Omg !!! Just like I love it. Everybody ate their food and said they were very pleasantly surprised

If I could give climmie’s ten thousand stars I would. So my family and I are visiting from miami. We’re in Thomasville this weekend for my wife’s aunt birthday party Saturday. We’ve been here since Thursday. I wanted some good bbq. I tried a bbq spot which I won’t even mention on this post. That place isn’t worthy of being mentioned in the same breath with Climmie’s. I reviewed that place however, because that’s what I do. I give accurate positive and negative reviews. The owner of that spot reached out to me 2 hours after I posted my review, not even worth responding. I checked with the receptionist at the hotel I’m staying at and she recommended Climmie’s. OH MY GOD, I felt redemption for the bad food I brought before. I got there early, I saw the reviews and I said I better get there early. Staff was so polite, I can’t say enough about the hospitality of the staff. I got a rib dinner and rib tip dinner, went back to my hotel. I tasted that food and oh my god, my wife woke up and tasted it. When we both like something we end up fighting over food lol. I met the husband and wife that operate Climmie’s, I hate I didn’t get their names for this review. They were amazing, I told them I might be back that same day and I was. My wife had to have some also, she would’ve ate all my food, lol, so we both went back the second time, in less than two hours lol. I don’t know when I will be back in Thomasville but there is only ONE place that I will eat when I return and it’s Climmie’s. I’d recommend them to anyone visiting the area. Just all around exceptional. Climmie’s actually made the trip for me more worthwhile. I told everyone back home about here. Thank you Climmie’s staff and owners for an amazing experience. The only thing I hate is that we had to leave Sunday to head back to south florida. Ashley (I didn’t get her name when we visited but saw her name on another review), told us that Sunday is the best day, more soul food. I see a review from a Marci, she stated she was there two days ago which would’ve been Sunday, I’m so jealous, lol, we will be back in Thomasville soon, and we will make soul food Sunday!!!!Bless you all.

Decent soulfood, fried chicken a little too salty, but fried beautifully. Willing to give it another try, in hopes of them having more options. Very friendly and professional staff!

We stopped by with a group of 8 and we were all sitting down eating amazing food in less than 10 minutes. Everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful and the food is fantastic! We had ribs, fried chicken, Mac n cheese, baked beans and yellow rice and nothing disappointed! And you can buy the sweet tea by the gallon!
Picnic tables under fans on a screened porch provided plenty of space for our group. Nothing fancy, but it was absolutely perfect! We’ll be back for sure.
