We had an amazing experience at El Pájaro Azul Mexican Grill! We called ahead with a large party of 13 only an hour before closing, and not only did they accommodate us, our table was completely ready when we arrived.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and genuine hospitality. Our server Carlos was phenomenal so attentive, patient, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. Even with the late hour, we never felt rushed, which says so much about the staff and management.
The food was incredible. The trio fajitas were sizzling, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious, and the chips and salsa were fresh and so good we couldn’t stop eating them. Every dish at the table was a hit.
They even sang Happy Birthday to my sister even though it was past closing time. We left feeling like family. Every staff member was kind, attentive, and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

Their delicious homemade food, excellent customer service, and spotless cleanliness truly stand out. We’re out-of-town folks and quite picky about food, but they absolutely deserve recognition.
We came in one day and loved it so much that, even though we had planned to try another place, we decided to come back instead—their food is that good!
Special kudos for their friendliness and for making us feel right at home go to Charlie (who patiently answers all your food questions), Selena, Daisy, and Isabel (no particular order, except for Charlie). Actually, Charlie goes beyond to provide you a phenomenal customer experience. Thank you all for such a wonderful dining experience! It was clean and the waitresses were very attentive. The food was good but not the best I’ve had. I would probably go earlier in the day to have it more fresh than lunch time, specifically because I got the Menudo.

First time here while on vacation. Got the carne Asada platter with beans and rice, came with 2 flour tortillas which were amazing and didn’t fall apart like normal tortillas. Flavor was amazing. Im not a fan of beans but I ate the whole plate, and I never touch beans but these were cheesy and fresh. One of the best Mexican food experiences I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend this place!!
Taco salad mt wife got was also very flavorful and fresh. Delicious crunch on the shell and the shredded beef was thick and robust for the portion. I will be returning here for more very soon.

Took my sister in Christ here for bday dinner last night
We were greeted by the husband whose joy is contagious, and his wife made us the best chocolate shakes! This particular visit she came and said goodbye before leaving. You can tell when someone enjoys what they’re doing – these people do. And we like coming here- the food is good and hot,
Refried beans are a 10, Guacamole is good, chips were warm and salsa was chilled, and the place is clean.
We enjoyed our meal and time here.

My husband and I ordered the ice cream nachos after our lunch- the perfect amount of fruit on top was fresh and ripe, the fried cinnamon and sugar flour tortilla chips were perfect, and there was plenty to share- one order would be good for 3, maybe four people.

Restaurant recently opened and we have eaten here 5 times. So far food has been great. Chips are fresh and salsa tasty. We always order the sizzling trio fajitas – usually awesome but today a little dry but still very tasty. Best menudo on the mountain. Service is great. Some workers are new but they are friendly, and really try to be attentive to customers. If they keep up the great food and services, this restaurant will be the best Mexican restaurant on the mountain. Definitely recommend

This place is a local favorite. The food has always been great since they opened. The service is great; they are very attentive and kind. I would say it’s way better than the majority of Mexican places on the mountain. My husband and I love coming here whenever we get the chance. 10/10 recommend going here.

Absolutely 5-Star! Everything was on point. We were in Lake Arrowhead for several meals and this one was definitely the best. They also serve breakfast, so we’re coming back for that as well next time. All four people in my dining party were very happy with their food. Cali Burrito. Shrimp Burrito, Chimi-style bean & cheese. They even had a chicken sandwich for our picky eater. Highly recommend!

I’m sorry but I have to b honest with my review. I ordered a hard shell shredded beef taco with a cheese enchilada. What I got was a tiny store bought taco shell with the meat tasting like the gravy from canned beef. I had one bite and could not finish it. The cheese enchilada was under a bed of shredded lettuce and was flat. I always look forward to the chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant and these were the worst I ever had, I give the salsa a 3 of of 10.
And they couldn’t sell any alcohol either .
