We stumbled upon one of the most unforgettable pizzas we’ve ever had on this trip. I’ve always been a fan of thick-crust pizza, thinking it was the only way to enjoy real flavor. But this paper-thin crust changed everything—light, incredibly crisp, and full of character in every bite. Huge thanks to the hotel lobby manager who pointed us in the right direction. Sometimes, the best travel memories begin with a simple local recommendation.

We ordered IMO’s for the family…

You might want to find a different IMO’s for now!

Hopefully our experience was a fluke! For each dish, I got a few bites in, but had to put it down because the food tasted like it had gone bad.

I’ll just do a list for the review if that’s okay…!

1.) The lettuce in my salad was all thin end bits, so it chewed to a fibrous mush, with zero crunch. It also tasted rotten, as if the produce went bad but they picked out the slimy bits. I ended up not eating the salad.
2.) The baked mostaccioli pasta was WAY too saucy with no other flavor. The sauce flavor itself was what I could only describe as “rotten” or “gone bad”.
3.) The baked mostaccioli was made in such a way that a lot of the penne ends were burnt until inedible. Probably just people moving quickly to toss pasta into pans, but still.
3.) the baked mostaccioli has a VERY small portion of pasta compared to sauce. It’s tossed into a foil pan in such a way that a lot of the ends burn past being able to be eaten. I would guess the portion to be about 1 single serving size/2 ounces dry weight of penne pasta, and 1 cup+ of sauce. Maybe 1/2 TBS cheese on top. There was a LOT more sauce than pasta. I ended up not eating the pasta.
4.) The fries tasted VERY freezer-burnt, and not really like fries at all. I ended up not eating the fries.
5.) The food made my stomach quite upset within an hour of eating it.

We ordered online, that went fine…! When I called the store with a question the employees were super nice! The building is in a good central location, and it’s got a drive-thru. (:

Just purely based on the food/cleanliness though…YIKES.

I hope this IMO’s can get their game together. There’s other restaurants nearby that might be better for now. (:

Imo’s has been a favorite pizza chain after Dominos and Pizza Hut tanked for us. We used to get one every month or two, but have now cut down given how generous they are with their cheese portions. The pizzas are always delicious, full of flavor, and filling to last you all day! We always get their large or extra large with tomatoes topping and it’s always a hit! We’ve tried with chicken too and that has been a yes or no depending on the mood. Nonetheless, some branches do better than the others. This one is the closest to where we live and it’s been a mix of hit and miss every time we’ve experimented so don’t know really what to rate it.

We’ve tried their pasta and that didn’t quite work in our flavor. It lacked seasoning, was just a blob of tomatoes, and the pasta was certainly overcooked. On our recent order, we tried their boneless chicken wings and we believe we’ve had better ones. The hot sauce wasn’t hot enough, the pieces were tinier than the ones we were expecting. The sweet and tangy or sour (not sure what it was) was all sweet.

All in all, no matter what you get, be sure to try their pizzas for sure. They sure know how to make your day and have your belly full!

Imo’s is a local gem! We ate here based on recommendations from people who live in the area. It goes without saying it lived up to expectations. The first thing to note is Imo’s creates a thin crust pizza. One of our friends said it’s “pizza on a cracker” which isn’t far from the truth. The crust is thin but has substance. The cheese used is found in the St. Louis area. It’s called “provel” and is a combination of cheddar, swiss, and provolone and is delicious! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was so good. The flavors of the cheese, red sauce, and crust blended for some of the best pizza I’ve had in a while. This place was so good we ordered from it twice. There are lots of Imo’s in the St. Louis area. This one does not have dine in options; only takeout. It’s small and has a drive through window as well. The staff was friendly and nice. We will definitely eat Imo’s again the next time we’re in the area.

Ordered some carry out June 10, 2024 at 3:34 PM. Pizza was horribly overcooked borderline burnt. Called to get a replacement. They wanted proof that we hadn’t eaten more than half. I didn’t feel like driving back there. Everything else was fine, but someone had to see this and serve it and think that that was acceptable.

Usually enjoy Imo’s on Tesson Ferry but tonight’s meatball sandwich “missed the mark.” No sauce, meatballs over done…or reheated. Hungry so I used Tony’s jarred sauce to soak half so I could eat. Never had a meatball sandwich anywhere w/o some gravy!
