We went here for the Dine Downtown $45 pre-fix meal. The Land & Sea Chowder came with a half piece of Costco hot dog bread. Most restaurants make their own bread, so this was a shock to receive hot dog bread. This was a bad start to our meals, probably the low point you could say. The chowder itself was not that great, lacked flavor, and only had one shrimp, if you were lucky. Some of the people in my party said they didn’t even get a shrimp. The Smoky Bluefin Tuna Tostada was actually good, the tostada was nice and crunchy, fish tasted fresh! The sea bass, on the other hand, was a sad fail, completely rubbery and overcooked. The Arroz Con Leche (rice pudding) for dessert was delicious and probably the highlight of the meal.

Let’s not get started on the service, our waitress couldn’t remember a thing we ordered to save her life. Between being asked what we just ordered like 2 minutes later, and also having to remind her that we ordered drinks like 5-6 times before receiving it. She even got the main dish messed up, didn’t order enough steak dishes. There’s only two options so it’s a little disappointing that was messed up.

All I could do was shake my head and be glad this experience was over!

Ok. First time here. This octopus was fresh. How do I know, it was chewy. The flavor was excellent and perfectly cooked. The purple potatoe puree was a perfect compliment with its sweetness.

From Cesar Chavez park. My friend and I checked it out during Dine Sacramento week. Food was good. Can’t wait to try their other menu offerings

High end Peruvian restaurant with traditional and modern dishes and cocktails. The food was delicious, well priced and the portions were generous. The decor is gorgeous, Inca and mermaid themed. I can’t wait to go back!

I always love a Peruvian authentic food. This place is really nice and nice aesthetic.

I believe the food here is a bit overpriced. However, the presentation of their food is actually quite impressive. Nevertheless, I must say that I had better Peruvian food elsewhere. The ceviche was just okay; it didn’t leave me with a lasting impression of “Wow, it’s so good.” The octopus was equally mediocre, lacking any significant flavor. Overall, Lomo Saltado is a regular..

On the bright side, their drinks are fantastic! The yuca bites are definitely good, overall but I’ve had better other ones in other restaurants.

Not a very good Dine downtown experience. Slow service and food not up to par. Excessively long wait for our food. I think the wait staff delivered our order to the wrong table we ordered 3 fish dishes and 1 steak. The table next to us ordered 2 fish and 2 steak. Since our order was delivered to their table, the wait staff corrected their order leaving them with 1 extra fish entree. I’m pretty sure this extra entree was delivered to our table 10 minutes later. My fish entree was COLD. There was some kind of thick yellow cream sauce over the fish which had coagulated into a inedible glob. Sent it back and had to wait for a new dish to be prepared. The steak entree was so underwhelming. 5 strips of overcooked steak. Although the Dine downtown menu found online did not state, each person was not allowed to pick a dessert. It was one dessert per two persons. This should have been clearly stated in the online menu.

We had a delicious dinner here. The food is truly incredible and the staff is very helpful and friendly. It also has beautiful murals inside with ocean and Peruvian themed. Great setting for a nice date night – my wife loved it!

Octopus Peru is a fantastic newer spot! The server gave fantastic recommendations for the Baked Oysters (which were delightful). The Smoky Tuna Tostadas had a mouth watering aioli sauce. We were also recommended the Lomo Saltado which had a great portion size and tender steak. The chef gave us a sample of the Pollo A La Brasa and I definitely want to come back and get a full entree!
