The Island Cabana Bar and Ship Store is a hidden gem in Charleston! From the moment we sat down, the view of the Ravenel Bridge was absolutely stunning—perfect backdrop for a laid-back afternoon. The food was even better than expected: the Cuban sandwich was perfectly pressed with all the right flavors, and the fish & chips were crispy, golden, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Add in friendly service, a relaxing vibe, and a coastal breeze, and you’ve got the recipe for an amazing day. We’ll definitely be back—highly recommend!

I’ve visited the Island Cabana Bar for both their free oyster roast and their free Lowcountry boil, and each time the experience has been fantastic. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed, exactly the kind of place you want to spend the day at.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making everyone feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. In fact, even my boyfriend commented on how nice and approachable everyone was, which really says something.
Between the great food, inviting atmosphere, and kind staff, Island Cabana Bar has quickly become a place I look forward to returning to. Highly recommend checking it out if you want good food and even better hospitality.

I almost don’t want to leave a review, this is a hidden gem and I’m feeling greedy. Great food and hideaway, I would love to come back when the boats are heading out and coming back in. The bucket of beer deals they have are simply fun and honestly a great way to do business. The pics of shrimp and burger are kids meals, tacos were amazing. Do not park in the boat storage area unless you have a permit! Park on the street and walk over. Cheers and hope you find Island Cabana as special as we did.

If you’ve not been, here’s what you need to know: This is adjacent to Seabreeze Marina. Parking is in the lot on the other side of the dry stack, but you could turn at the Seabreeze propellers and drive down to drop off those who can’t do the walk so well.
Second, don’t be afraid to eat out on the boardwalk, although sunny, the breeze out there can make it more comfortable than on the shaded porch. Order inside and they’ll give you a pager. When it goes off you go back inside and get your food at the pickup window.
Wear whatever, it’s a mix of boaters, fishermen and landlubbers seeking a tasty meal with a pretty marina view. Bonus is the Ravenel bridge in the background and the USS Yorktown in the distance. In the relatively small “ships store” you can pick up the drinks, snacks, hats, sun shirts, sun screen etc that you forgot to bring. Or pick up a cool T-shirt, hat, tumbler, souvenir.

Amazing hidden gem. This little restaurant is delicious and right on the water. The food was fast, fresh and so tasty. The staff were nice. The inside is super cute and they have a little area of assorted goods to shop. Plenty of beer and seltzer to choose from!! Like other posts say you do have to park down the road and walk but it’s not far at all. You also get to watch the marina workers move boats with a forklift which is pretty cool. Great place! Will go again!

We stopped by Island Cabana Bar for drinks and had a great time. We ordered two margaritas on the rocks with floaters. They were solid in taste, though a bit pricey at about $40. However, the stunning view of the calming waters and boats made it worth every penny.
The short walk to the bar (since you can’t park past a certain point) added to the charm. Inside, there’s a small store with cute trinkets that caught our eye. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and we’d definitely stop by again.

We were THRILLED and EXCITED to come here FOR THE FOOD,EXPIRENCE, AND THE GREAT VIEW. WE GOT THE GREAT VIEWS…………………………………….
Unfortunately, what we got was much less to our surprise than we expected to pay. We wanted Cuban food with fish and rice. What we got was rice that was not cooked throughly, hurt my teeth.More than the price, it was the expectations of a good to great romantic evening with my husband celebrating our anniversary. The food, the service, and pricing must change before we would recommend this place to anyone at this time.
Looking forward to a better experience when ready.
Regards,

Beautiful place. Laid back atmosphere. Delicious food. Kind staff. Decently clean bathrooms. It stormed during our stay here, but we still enjoyed the views very much.

The food and drinks were great and we loved the atmosphere on the water by the bridge! I had the lowcountry fish tacos and a side of beans and rice. They also had a large variety of frozen cocktails, I got the strawberry daquari and it was delish. The location and parking were a bit tricky to find, just follow your GPS and it’s just past the boat storage racks on the water.
