Simmer Down

This was my first time to dine here and I will, definitely, be going back. I had a burger but I can’t remember what they called it. It had fried mozzarella cheese and, let me tell you, it was one of the best burgers that I have ever eaten. The staff were amazing. If you get a chance to visit do so. I can’t say enough about this place.

My husband and I went to Simmer Down for our first time tonight. When we got there the parking lot was full. We both expected to have to wait a while before getting a table, however to our surprise our wait was only 5 mins. The building is really nice with a warm cozy atmosphere. We were seated, and immediately greeted by our waitress Ashley, she was incredibly polite and friendly. We ordered sweet tea to drink. The tea was fabulous. We skipped an appetizer and went straight to ordering the steak for two dinner. Hush puppies were brought to the table as a complimentary treat. Our Steak dinner came with 4 sides. We both got the salad bar, and loaded baked potato. The meal all comes with a dinner roll or Texas toast. (We got the toast. The salad bar was great, everything was fresh and there were lots of different things to choose from. Our steak was cooked perfectly! Juicy, tender and seasoned wonderfully. We will definitely be back. Our dinner was only $42 (that’s before tax) and of course the tip we left. 10/10 definitely would recommend

The wait time wasn’t long at all. Everyone from the hostess,waitress was great. The food we started off with an appetizer Shrimp,southwestern egg rolls,and onion petals, main course, Mahi Mahi was cook to perfection the glaze added a nice touch with pineapple salsa was really tasty. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich plate. He loved that the portion was big but also pretty tasty. We will be bk. Thanks simmer down for participating in our Friday night date night .

First time going, steaks over cooked no seasoning no taste, salad is watery, baked potatoes were not done. The appetizer was half good. Drinks ok. Spent $168. Not worth it. Will not go back.

Best sirloin steak I’ve had. We got the steak for 2. Very affordable for a steakhouse. Salad bar was very good and fresh. Service was on the good side of fair. We noticed other tables getting hush puppies when they were seated, we did not receive any, maybe we were supposed to ask? 3 tables that came in after us and ordered after us got their food before us and ordered the same thing. Overall it was great and the wait time was decent, we would go back for sure.

These people know how to run a restaurant. No joke. Very consistent in great food and great servers. They even have seating for large groups. The potato skins, steaks, and salad bar are our favorites.

My first time eating at this establishment and not happy. The server was very nice, helping me choose my options. My complaint is food was not hot, not even warm. Fish was cold, and so was the hush puppies. I know it was busy Sunday at lunch, but no excuse for this. I might try it again, but hesitate
