Unexpected find! We were going through Kewaskum on our way up north. Been through here many times. On this trip we decided to stop at Brother’s Cafe for breakfast.
Brother’s is one of those side of the road diners that often goes un-noticed by travelers. But this place is a little gem when it comes to breakfast.
There is nothing fancy here. Simple and dated decor (which adds to the ambiance), table or counter seating. Great menu with low prices.
Homemade bread. Homemade jam (ask for it).
Everything was cooked perfect.
This is like an American version of Nonna’s (the movie). Lots of older ladies doing the cooking and serving. So don’t expect speed. But expect quality and a great meal at a very good price.
This is one of those restaurants you would drive past without noticing.
Our suggestion. Notice it and go there for very good breakfast.
If you’re pretentious or fussy. Go somewhere else. This is good food and a simple atmosphere with locals frequenting the place. Not at all a tourist destination (not that kewaskum is for tourists)!

When we arrived we were the only customers. Arrived at 10:30 am wanted to get the biscuits and gravy but was told after 10 they dont serve it anymore. Kind of disappointing. So got a sausage and egg omelet. Didn’t want long at all but the omelet was bad the sausages were almost raw with no color on them just gray and for cheese it was 2 Kraft singles inside the omelet. Also got white toast and hash browns. The hash browns were whiter than the toast. I held my tounge but should of probably said something. Service was good Server was very nice but that was the only redeeming factor. Wouldn’t recommend this establishment.

First time coming here, and the waitress immediately told us that she needed to leave by 1:30, when it was 1:00. So we immediately felt rushed. The food was good. The staff were yelling and swearing at each other most of the time. Probably won’t come back.

We always love our food here! It is a small diner and it is out dated but the service is great, food is yummy, and staff is friendly. It can be busy on the weekends with a wait sometimes but the service is fast. Everything we’ve had is great our favorites are the skillets, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes. The prices are cheap and we will continue to be customers!

The waitress greeted me seconds after I walked in, and after ordering, it took literally less than 7 minutes and I had my food. Didn’t even read all the comics in the daily paper. Granted, it wasn’t exactly busy, but in my experience, sometimes food takes longer when it isn’t busy compared to when it is busy.
The food was great! And super cheap!. I spent 12.00 with a very generous tip on that small of a bill. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns with a side of toast. Ordered at 11:01am. Got my food at 11:08 am. Ate, paid the bill and was at my scheduled meeting 3 blocks away before 11:30am. Was finished eating, even chatted a while with the waitress, who was VERY smart!!. Kudos to that young lady, because I will definitely be back because of her. I’m sad I never got her name. (She doesn’t usually work on Mondays. Usually only weekends.) I suggest the owners give her a nice raise, (or I may try to poach her for a different position ! ) I love small town breakfast and lunch places, and I don’t usually review places I didn’t like, because I work in the industry. If I have a problem, I won’t put it on Yelp or whatever they have now, I’ll just tell the people that messed up and give them a chance to fix it.
But Monday morning, I was already kinda stressed, and that food and the conversation made my day better. (It kinda renewed my faith in the youth of today that will be running the city/businesses/schools, etc. So…Thank you!! I really needed that dose of reality today. Especially with all the weird and horrible things we all are having to deal with lately. 5 stars. Hands down.

The food is great, but the service is even better. We came for breakfast and my autistic 5 year old was having a bit of a rough morning. Our waitress was AMAZING. So welcoming and understanding. She took time to talk to our son, brought him crayons and a coloring book and even made a sweet little deal with him that he could get a quarter for the little toy vending machine if he was good. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being so welcoming and accepting!
