Above and Beyond Service at Dairy Queen on Broadway
I recently had a great experience at the Dairy Queen in Leavenworth, KS. I stopped in about a week ago for a cheeseburger using a coupon I received in the mail, buy one Signature Stacked Burger and get one for 99¢, and the entire visit went smoothly.
It was snowy that morning, and I arrived about 20 minutes before opening. The employee let me know they would be opening shortly, which was completely understandable. What really stood out was that about 5 to 7 minutes early, he noticed me waiting outside and opened up ahead of schedule to assist me. That simple gesture meant a lot.
He was friendly, patient, and made sure he clearly understood the coupon and my order before proceeding. After placing the order, I walked over to Goodwill and Family Dollar. When I returned, my food was ready just as promised.
I walked it home, sat down, and enjoyed two excellent cheeseburgers, fries, and a Dr Pepper, prepared exactly the way they should be. The food was solid, but the customer service truly went above and beyond.

Man Quinton is an Absolute super hero!!!!! I dont know who in management thought leaving him alone during a parade was the best idea but just give kid a cape already. Theyre already alone most of the time and overwhelmed with orders, but now there’s literally a parade at the window and all you see the blur of a backwards hat and Flash Quinton Johnson slinging blizzards and burgers as fast as anyone has ever seen. He even had my mobile order done before the quoted time. Always. I wish I had half his energy.

Nice open area although the parking lot can use some help, open kitchen ok service speed as long as there is more than one person cooking. Food is good frozen drinks are good. The cup design can be redone to give more space for more drink. Other than the drink size and the parking lot service is good.

A very large man named Raymond, driving a black Cadillac, ordered at least 5 extra large blizzards to eat all by himself. When I got to the front it turned out he paid it forward! Thank you, Raymond, for allowing this evening to become an even brighter one. Cheers!

I love our local walk-up Dairy Queen. Small place but still has the same food as other DQ’s. Sometimes there is a line but hey I’ll wait in line for some yummy ice cream. I would suggest downloading the app and ordering online if you’re ordering food that makes it so much easier and DQ actually has a really good points system!!

This little DQ may be small, and look like a shack, but it’s not lacking at all in customer service and quality. All other Dairy Queen should love up and take classes on how to be awesome like this one. They set the standard for all other Dairy Queens!

Icecream was delicious as expected but softer than it should have been. Rather melty when handed to us through the servi g window. The inside food preparation area was not very cleanly either. But for the quick turn and reasonable priced treats, it wasn’t stopping my kids from enjoying there.

Always get service with a smile. It is a small, kiosk-type building with everything but a seating area and there are usually people way too close to the building discussing inappropriate things for a family place and usually smoking or vaping. This is beyond the control of the owners as the building is in a parking lot but it is something to be aware of.
I go back multiple times each season because the staff is wonderful.
