Update: The owner of the restaurant reached out to me to see if there was anything he could do to make it right. Explained the situation with the steaks, and sounds like it isn’t a usual problem for the restaurant. He seemed like a very nice guy, and I like that he cared enough to try to right the situation.

I was excited to try a new steakhouse in my area. Usually go to That Place on the Corner, but wanted to see how Morrison’s steakhouse was. I took my retired parents, one with a walker, the other is very tall and not as mobile as they once were. The floors were completely sloped. Falling off into the corners. We were sat at a table in a corner, my boyfriend was in the corner and couldn’t even move his arms because of how sloped the floor was. We felt like we were falling on top of each other. Not very good for handicap accessibility. We ordered ribeye steaks medium rare. And they were the worst steaks I’ve ever had. They were gray in color, no sear marks and tough texture. They were cut completely uneven. And very thin. It was almost like they were boiled instead of seared. They were near inedible. When we were paying the woman asked how everything was. We told her we didn’t eat our steaks because they were not good at all. She basically said “They usually aren’t like that, sorry. Your total is $185.” If you are looking for a good steakhouse try That Place in Conrad instead. Very disappointed.

We spent 120 after they took our watered down drinks off the tab. This steak house didn’t have T bones ran out baked potato, salad was severed on lil Saucer plate no dinner rolls. We complained I’m 120 bucks is 120 buck then when we go home the owner sent my friend a friend request ? Odd unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this place at all . I want my 120 bucks back so I can go to Texas roadhouse and save some money and be able to get my nefew a kids meal instead of a 30 steak and that’s all we got. The water out the was good and cold . I waited to come to this place. People really talked it up. Not sure if they bankrupt or what but terrible disrespectful not worth ur time. 63 dinner is better texa roadhouse is also good luck

A wonderful vintage steakhouse in our corner of Iowa. The prime rib is in our top 5 for sure! My drink of choice is their au jus! We now have to go back to to try their other meals. Cash or check only.

Steak was cooked perfect and was cooked quick.
Service is friendly and fast.

Its not 5 star dining, but if you want a good meal and find yourself nearby its worth saving the drive to waterloo.

The food at Morris Inn is absolutely mouth watering! We had excellent service as well! I definitely feel like you get your moneys worth with the amount of food and quality of food that you get! The owners are really cool and treat you like family! Very clean restaurant!

With that being said, it is definitely worth the drive to Morrison, Iowa, and grab a bite to eat here! But I must warn you, the floor is very uneven, so just be careful if you have any walking disabilities. Also, this is a CASH ONLY establishment, so make sure you have cash to pay your bill. $80 was enough for 3 drinks, 4 specialty burgers, 2 appetizers, and ranch and cheese dipping sauces plus a tip for our server ☺️. Pictured is my order of the Waylonator.

Incredible, welcoming service and quite possibly the best chicken fingers in Iowa. The Morris Inn can accommodate large groups with ease and cook ribeyes to perfection.

Iconic roadhouse, very straightforward food, nothing fancy but all very good…super friendly and great service…I have eaten here many times…you need to go here just to check out the floor, you’ve never seen anything like it…similar in nature to a miniature golf course – or perhaps a carnival fun house…some interesting taxidermy makes the atmosphere… I love this place!

OMG Awesome as usual. Fun place to go with an interesting, permanent slope in the floor. Would not care to have had a few to drink n try to maneuver, altho might be hilarious for the other patrons. Always get a lil veggie bowl w/grn olives, fresh pickle spears, n carrots, plus dinner rolls. Tonite I opted for the pork tenderloin sandwich(1 side), big enuf for 2 sandwiches, n salad. Normally I get the great prime rib. Heads up, only cash or checks.
