I was excited to try a new steakhouse in my area. Usually go to That Place on the Corner, but wanted to see how Morrison’s steakhouse was. I took my retired parents, one with a walker, the other is very tall and not as mobile as they once were. The floors were completely sloped. Falling off into the corners. We were sat at a table in a corner, my boyfriend was in the corner and couldn’t even move his arms because of how sloped the floor was. We felt like we were falling on top of each other. Not very good for handicap accessibility. We ordered ribeye steaks medium rare. And they were the worst steaks I’ve ever had. They were gray in color, no sear marks and tough texture. They were cut completely uneven. And very thin. It was almost like they were boiled instead of seared. They were near inedible. When we were paying the woman asked how everything was. We told her we didn’t eat our steaks because they were not good at all. She basically said “They usually aren’t like that, sorry. Your total is $185.” If you are looking for a good steakhouse try That Place in Conrad instead. Very disappointed.
Chatted with cook afterwards.
They 100% take credit cards now.
Service is friendly and fast.
Its not 5 star dining, but if you want a good meal and find yourself nearby its worth saving the drive to waterloo.
With that being said, it is definitely worth the drive to Morrison, Iowa, and grab a bite to eat here! But I must warn you, the floor is very uneven, so just be careful if you have any walking disabilities. Also, this is a CASH ONLY establishment, so make sure you have cash to pay your bill. $80 was enough for 3 drinks, 4 specialty burgers, 2 appetizers, and ranch and cheese dipping sauces plus a tip for our server ☺️. Pictured is my order of the Waylonator.
