This was my first time at this establishment. The lady who helped me was very nice. Let me note that I did come around 7:00pm on Saturday evening and the place was empty. It’s possible their food is better in the earlier part of the da. I ordered what the lady told me
was chicharrones . I have had it fried many times, but this was my first time having it stewed. Almost the entire portion was nothing but FAT pieces. No meat. At that, I ordered two orders because this was for my family. The sauce was very flavorful but the meat was nothing but fat. A few pieces of meat here and there but most of it got thrown away. If you don’t have anymore quality pieces to sell, get rid of it and only offer quality menu items. I would’ve happily ordered something different.

Absolutely loved dining here! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with great service that made us feel right at home. The food was incredible – every dish was expertly prepared and presented, with flavors that exceeded our expectations. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

Best Dominican Restaurant in this area of Jersey! They’re new to the area and you can taste they really care about quality and freshness. Huge portion sizes – we ordered 2 small lunches (white rice, beans, pollo horneado), there was enough food for us to share 1 lunch, and saved the other one for left over (i’m eating my leftovers right now and it still tastes fresh!). Price is also amazing for the amount of food you’re getting. 10/10

A lovely spot for authentic Dominican cuisine! The food was flavorful and true to its roots, and their natural juices were absolutely delicious. What made the experience even better was the personal touch—the owner came out to make sure everything was perfect. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great service and genuine hospitality.

I grew up in the Bronx, NY around Dominican food.
I have to say this was the worst food we have ever had. The onions were done wrong, rice was bland and dry, chicken well, I got two tiny pieces and a had to spit them out. My son’s food was also beyond disgusting. Portion was awful too. But, I’m glad cause there was less for me to throw out. Plainfield is known for is cultural diversity and this was very disappointing. Service was not great either. El Fogon Prendio is more like el Mojon Perdio.
