Was wary upon entering.. decor is dated and kitchy. But service and food was good. Waitresses were very friendly and helpful. I got the ribeye – wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was good. The ranch dressing tasted homemade and the garlic veggies were cooked perfectly. The real star of the show was the butter/worchestershire sauce they cooked the sautéed shrimp in. Delicious!

Nice bar with separate dining area, not too loud. I had the seafood combo which was pretty good. The baked potato was piping hot, the oysters were huge and tasty, delicious shrimp but the scallops were just a bit bland. Beer was cold !

Our meal – shared house specialty prime rib – was perfeprepared and presented. The side vegetales were well seasoned and cooked to a turn. The meal was amazing- down to the very last bite.
And to top it all, the service was warm and welcoming.

Wow! Our friendly server said people drove from states away to have their prime rib. Now I see why. Very, very delicious. Super tender and cooked just the way I liked it. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was great- just what you expect from a small town bar and grill. I will definitely have to stop for prime rib again the next time I’m through Eureka.

Contender for the worst restaurant dinner ever. I ordered the “wild caught” salmon dinner with veggies and salad. The salad was completely unremarkable- 100% iceberg lettuce, baby carrots and Sysco croutons. When the entree arrived I didn’t even recognize it as fish. A filet of salmon is very distinguishable and hard to mess up- but this… was two square formed fish-like patty’s smothered in an obscure orange glaze. Bad enough, but the veggies were steamed, crinkle cut, and served in a ceramic ramekin like I was dining in old folks home. There were two plastic cups of tartar sauce and cocktail sauce in the middle of the plate. Why? No deep fried breaded shrimp to dip here folks. If I was drunk I would have killed this dish for $12 at the state fair. But $26 in real time!? Unreal. In a region that has Alaskan salmon food trucks and salmon snagging for legit fish, please don’t offer salmon to the general public at Whitefish prices. As for service, I dined alone at the bar during happy hour and I was a total afterthought since the server was more interested in drink orders from the regulars. The one time she checked on me, she asked how the food was. I said, “Uhh…. ” trying to decide how honest to be. She said, “I wouldn’t know- I don’t eat that kind of stuff.” Well thanks lady, that’s super helpful.
