There were no other customers there when I collected my food, so I guess it has been going downhill for a while
There is an extensive menu all at reasonable prices. The food is probably the best Indian food along the fylde coast. All beautifully cooked and arriving in a timely manner. I will give a special mention for the dips that accompany the poppadoms, they are the best I’ve had.
I highly recommend you visit this restaurant.
Approach on accident as the restaurant we had set out to visit was closed but what a delightful surprise.
Lots of options available. (Apologies couldn’t help but tuck in before I decided to take some pictures)
Nothing to recommend.
Everything was tasty and portions were spot on. Between two people we had two mains, one rice, one naan and one side. Plenty. Very nice! I’d say a solid 9/10.
My tweaks would be: vegetable korma has basic veg (frozen bag?) which could be better, bhajis were oily and mango chutney was smooth and missing the mango chunks. Tiny things but those changes would make it a 10/10!
As soon as we got home we noticed that they had left out the sauces that we had paid for so not a great start
The onion bhaji where nice but cold, the chiphati where put hot into a plastic bag so went very soggy also disappointing
The keema was bland, we asked for medium soice and it had none, it literally tasted of mince and tomato could distinguish any spices in it at all, the rice was nice but then again it’s rice
The butter chicken was watery with no substance to the sauce, they used tika chicken in it and it was so sweet it wasn’t tolerable, I couldnt even work out how they had managed to get the sauce so sweet, it was also a weird yellow colour, you use spices and salt to cut through sweetness and there was none of that, all I can assume is they dumped sugar into the sauce. We paid £36 for food that is now in the bin, we are very disappointed, we called them to let them know items where missing and the food was inedible and where told to bring it in and they would remake or take our name for the next order, we wernt going to travel back to have the food replaced and will not be ordering again, they tried to tell us that this is how it should taste, as avid Indian food eaters I can assure you this is far from Indian food, wouldn’t recommend you wasting your money on poor quality food
We ordered the set menu for 2, it was £44, which we thought was fantastic value including any 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides and poppadoms and massive chutney tray!
If staying locally, we would definitely come here again, excellent food, brilliant service and decent value for money. 100% recommend.
