I love pho king. The original 118 ave location got me hooked on pho. Soups are always fresh tasting, lots of toppings and meat. Best phoking pho around and I’ve tried a lot throughout the city. . Have probably ordered between 30-40 soups from this place. Never disappoints, especially on a cold day. They also have the best fried chicken in town. 10/10 recommended.

Do you like extra protein in your pho? Unfortunately, found this meaty fly at the end of the meal, how’d they handle it? “ ok” swipes the plate away, 8 minutes pass we proceed to the counter, cashier scurries in the back kitchen, returns a few mins later with the bill, less of course the one pho with the extra protein showed in the photo, we come here often didn’t expect a hand out but that’s the service? Hard pass, there were also fruit flys by the counter when I had to pay, hello Alberta Food safety?

I frequent this place beacuse their food is just great. Flavors are bang on consistently. This is how pho shld taste. Very reasonably priced dishes, can actually do quick lunch if you order their soups/vermicelli bowl on a weekday (in and out in 30 mins) and service is nice and friendly. Place is very clean. It’s the secret go to place for a quick, delicious satisfying lunch always!

Had the beef pho soup it was great got extra veggies the portion was large for the regular size and well worth the price. Spring rolls and green onion cake were spot on. Staff was good. Young lady very friendly old lady looked stern and no nonsense…. Which I like. I will be returning, way better than Chinese food places that are so greasy

I have been here twice now and it’s honestly some of the best Vietnamese food in the city. They have lots of options for noodles or soup, plenty of condiment choices on the table. The restaurant is clean, the staff are great and the service is pretty quick. It’s always packed at lunch so get there early or go for an early supper after work which is what we did today. Took the husband for his first visit here and we’re already planning our next visit.

I wanted some Pho and I’ve been to Pho kings Alberta Avenue location a few times, so I figured I’d check out their capilano location.
Did my usual drop in for a late lunch, the place was mostly empty.
Staff were nice and the place is a fair size as a lot of Pho places are pretty small.
I went with a vietnamese coffee and I think this was the weakest part of the meal. The coffee just wasn’t good, like watered down tasting,.
The pork dumplings/gyoza were nice and i enjoyed those.
The Pho was solid, tasty, lots of meat and enjoyable.
I only give them 4 stars as the coffee was disappointing.

Are you Pho-King kidding me?
Affordable pricing but Delicious and BIG PORTION Viet Foods.

Honestly, you could pick anything on the menu yet they won’t disappoint you.

Green Onion Cake was crispy and not tough, plus the sweet chilli sauce, A good appetizer! $4.5 only

Must try Chicken wings (ask for sauce on the side if you can’t handle spicy or sharing)

Mango Smoothie has a real mango taste

King Special Pho (Large) $14.95, LOTS OF MEATS and I didnt get thirsty after drinking the Beef Broth.

Grill Pork & Spring Rolls ($15.95) the lemongrass flavour kicks in real fast to show them spending time to marinate their meat. They also grilled the meat to give that smoky flavour and tendering texture. Well done!

Peanut in a container was a nice touch for those who had an allergy.

Give their Iced Coffee a try! They’re using Café du Monde Coffee ground.

Café du Monde contains both coffee and chicory (coffee from Vietnam never contains chicory), but their French-style roast became popular with the early Vietnamese immigrants because, when compared to the American coffee available, it was the closest they could find to Vietnamese-grown coffee.

A family-owned and operated Vietnamese restaurant since 2010.
Their son, Jimmy, has been in the family business since he was a teenager. He started as a dishwasher and worked his way to cook/restaurant manager. He plans to continue to run the family business.

Two locations in Edmonton now!
