Nice place with outdoor seating. We had a beautiful beet and goat cheese salad and a tasty shrimp appetizer. Curley himself waited on us.

This is the little Irish pub of your dreams. We stopped here for dinner on our drive upstate, and it did not disappoint. Attentive, amiable service and a wide range of menu options. The dining area was cozy, and there were many TV’s set to mostly sports or news channels. Affordable, tasty dishes that are perfect for sharing. The Irish soda bread made my toes curl. I recommend!

Today was a beautiful day. I live in North Jersey and I grabbed my camera and started driving. I wasn’t sure where I was going to stop for lunch but I ended up passing this place and then made a U-turn and ended up going back to try it. I have always wondered how it was. Although it looks deserted in my photos, there were many people sitting outside enjoying the weather. I chose to sit inside — at the end of the bar near the window. The bartender was taking care of the folks inside and also tending to the people outside and he did a great job. I ordered the French Onion Soup and a Steak Sandwich with Fries. Everything was delicious. The French Onion Soup was GREAT… and I’m pretty picky about my French Onion Soup. The cheese AND the soup itself was delicious. Now, the steak sandwich was NOT a cheesesteak but slices of steak on a roll with cheese on the roll itself. It was very good. I really wasn’t sure what to expect but I enjoyed it. Just don’t order it, expecting a traditional “cheesesteak”. The fries were great and I also ate the coleslaw and the pickle. Man, I was STUFFED.
The bartender said there was parking on the right side of the restaurant but I parked towards the left, which is probably really for the businesses next to the restaurant. Regardless, it was no problem. I would definitely go back and try something different. It was very good.

I’d like to say that iSuffern landmark is a hidden gem butIt really is the same thing it always has been which is a retreat for elderly drunks and marginal food at best.. they’ve made the place look nicer and they giving it an extensive and impressive menu and really made it a comfortable place to hang out so it’s got a lot of things going for it.
It used to have a charming appeal which was your classic Irish dive bar complete with Irish bartender off the boat.
I swear to you this time it look like little Italy exploded and every loudmouth drugs Italian guy had to compete with each other to see who could drown out all semblance of thought by the volume of them telling tales of days gone bye.
I don’t think I’ve ever been in bar where the volume was so loud that I literally had to leave. Keep in mind that this is the volume of multiple people yelling at multiple tables just so that they can scream louder then the people at the other tables.
Owner is a great guy tried to make things right but the service and general meh of the food was meh…..
While it seemed that they had plenty of it took me three requests to get some gravy and a fork.

The best French Onion soup is just the start. Great Irish pub food as well as regional specialties. The salads are top notch and I’ve always had great times and great food.

I was in the area and came across this place which has amazing reviews. I checked to make sure it was open as it was Labor Day weekend. I even saw recent reviews as of a few weeks ago. However, I walked up to the door that had a sign that said “closed until further notice.” I was very disappointed. I didn’t take a picture as I was very hungry and had to figure out the next steps as fast as possible. Perhaps someone should update this business’ hours to temporarily closed.

Best corn beef sandwich and Reubens. The mozzarella sticks are also a fantastic choice.
The staff is wonderful and you can easily lose track of time watching the games, having a freshly poured beer, and talking with the staff.
Place is always clean, staff always attentive, I have been to many bars and pubs around the country this is the spot to be.
