The server took a while to get to us, but he was very pleasant too. However, he seemed to have a little language trouble understanding us. I ordered some garlic knots with cheese. They were a generous portion for us all to share. Delicious too.
After we had placed our entree orders, the two of our group who ordered side salads got theirs quite quickly. Both said they were delicious, but our expectation was that a side salad is delivered with the entree, not as a separate course while the other two had nothing yet.
All four entrees came out together. My Chicken Parmigiana was delicious and I would definitely have it again. There was enough to take home. My wife had Chicken Piccata and she liked hers too. Also enough to take home. One of our friends had the Chicken Marsala and he was not real pleased with it. However, he’s generally not a big fan of Italian food. He said he’d choose the Eggplant Parmigiana next time. Our other friend had the Vegetable Lasagna. She was also a bit disappointed because there wasn’t really any vegetables. Just pasta and sauce. She would not order it again.
Will we go back. Probably. The pizza some other folks had looked incredible.
This used to be one of my absolute favorites. It had everything—authentic, flavorful food, a thoughtful wine list, and consistently good service. Over the past year, we’ve returned several times, each visit chipping away at the experience we once loved. Sadly, this last visit sealed the fate I’d been hoping to avoid.
We’ve now reached the level of frozen cheese sticks, and the once-impressive wine list has been reduced to near nothing. How does an Italian restaurant not have a single Chianti? The service was just okay. In the past, we’ve waited over an hour for any attention in a half-empty dining room, but we kept giving it one more chance, holding out hope.
At this point, it’s a C-grade restaurant—maybe a decent C—but what hurts the most is how far it’s fallen. I hope one day it finds its footing again. Until then, we’ll be watching and waiting, hoping for a return to the excellence it once knew.
Fresh baked rolls with REAL BUTTER! Great caesar salad with a good zingy dressing. Hubby loved his house salad as well. Decent homemade meatball…could have a bit more garlic or something to add more flavor.
Hubby got baked ziti with ricotta and sausage. He loved it! And it was enough for 3 people! LOL I had Rigatoni Bolognese…it was really more of a creamy meat sauce than what I would call Bolognese, but it was very tasty and the pasta was al dente, as it should be!
Staff was super nice and gave us a coupon for free garlic knots next time. And there WILL be a next time. Look forward to trying more items on their menu.
The food here is so good; they have RUINED me from eating Italian anywhere else. Everything I’ve had here is better than I was expecting.
